Exits again due to stinger Brents exited in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Bengals due to a stinger and is questionable to return.

Impact Brents had initially been labeled as questionable to return after leaving the game in the first half to receive evaluation for a concussion as well as the stinger. He was able to check back into the game to begin the second half, but he appears to have suffered an aggravation of the stinger. Brents tallied six tackles and one pass breakup prior to his most recent exit.

Back in action Brents (undisclosed) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice. C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.

Impact Brents suffered an injury in early August, returning to practice in a limited capacity last Tuesday. The cornerback is officially all set to go and could see some snaps during Friday's preseason finale against the Falcons if the Dolphins would like him to see some game-day reps before the regular season commences.

Nearing a return Brents (undisclosed) is trending in the right direction but did not participate in full-team drills against the Giants on Thursday, Alain Poupart of SI.com reports.

Impact The cornerback suffered his injury Aug. 7 and then remained sidelined until Aug. 18, missing a team scrimmage and the Dolphins' preseason opener against the Commanders. When he did return to practice, he was limited. It's unclear if this issue is related to the foot injury that ended Brents' 2025 campaign and required surgery.

Missing time with injury Brents (undisclosed) is not participating during training camp practices this week, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Impact It seems like he'll probably be out for Friday's preseason game at Washington as well. Brents needed surgery to address a foot injury that ended his 2025 season prematurely, but it's not clear whether that's related to his current status. Until he's available again, 2025 fifth-rounder Jason Marshall may see an uptick in reps on the boundary.

Ready for training camp Brents is all set to participate in training camp, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Brents received foot surgery during the 2025 season after going down with a significant injury in November. The cornerback returns for a pivotal training camp, as cornerbacks Storm Duck (knee) and Darell Baker (undisclosed) will be sidelined until midseason. If Brents can prove himself once again capable, he may enter Week 1 as the starting outside cornerback across from Chris Johnson.

Officially placed on IR The Dolphins placed Brents (foot) on injured reserve Wednesday.

Impact Brents is slated to miss the rest of the 2025 campaign and undergo season-ending surgery to address a right foot injury, so it's no surprise to see him land on IR. The Dolphins will need to count on rookie fifth-round pick Jason Marshall for additional defensive reps in Brents' stead, beginning Week 13 against the Saints.
