Impact Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Sweat underwent an emergency procedure Tuesday to address a serious medical matter. Though the report notes that Sweat improved every day to the point that he came close to playing Sunday, he wasn't quite ready to suit up. Impact Sweat was inactive for the Eagles' regular-season finale with an illness, and it appears he hasn't shaken the aliment yet. Zangaro reports that the fourth-year defensive end continues to have abdominal pain due to the illness, but he was able to return to team facilities Friday, which is a step in the right direction. If he's unable to suit up for the wild-card matchup against Tampa Bay, Ryan Kerrigan would likely be the next man up.
