INJURIES

Limited Wednesday, as expected Coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that Love (knee) practiced in a limited capacity and is making progress, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.
Impact Love is still practicing with his left knee wrapped, per Ryan Wood of USA Today, but his mobility looked improved at Wednesday's session. The Packers haven't yet announced whether Love or backup Malik Willis will start Sunday's divisional matchup against the Vikings, but it's encouraging to see the franchise quarterback progressing as expected. Love will have two more opportunities to upgrade to 'full' participation Week 4, and Green Bay may not make a final decision about the quarterback position until after the week's practices have concluded.

Will start week limited Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that Love (knee) will be limited in practice to begin Week 4, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.
Impact LaFleur said Love managed to take some team reps last week and that the team will take his injury "day by day" heading into a key divisional matchup against the Vikings on Sunday, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. Backup Malik Willis has performed adequately with Love sidelined, allowing the Packers to rack up two wins in his two starts, but the team won't hesitate to turn back to its franchise quarterback as soon as he's healthy. Love logged a trio of limited practices prior to being ruled out Week 3, so he may have to log at least one full session in order to be cleared to face Minnesota.

Sitting out again in Week 3 Love (knee) is listed as inactive Sunday at Tennessee, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
Impact Love seemingly put himself in a position to return after cobbling together three consecutive limited sessions during Week 3 prep, but the Packers will exercise caution and not rush back their franchise quarterback as he recovers from a sprained left MCL that he suffered in the season opener against the Eagles. He'll instead turn his focus to a Week 4 matchup with the Vikings, while Malik Willis will draw his second start in a row Sunday in place of Love.

Likely to sit out Sunday Love (knee) hasn't yet been ruled out for Sunday's Week 3 game against Tennessee, but he's not expected to play, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Impact Love was a limited practice participant all week and was deemed questionable on Friday's injury report, with Packers coach Matt LaFleur indicating that the quarterback could be a game-time decision. However, Pelissero reports that while Love is "getting closer" to being able to return, he'll likely be held out at least one more contest. If that is indeed the case, Malik Willis will get a second straight start with Sean Clifford serving as his backup.

Impact Love hasn't been medically cleared but apparently still could be before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. He was a limited practice participant Friday, same as the two previous days, after being held out entirely last week ahead of an absence for the eventual win over Indianapolis. Malik Willis will make another start at QB if Love is out again Week 3.

Practicing again Love (knee) is practicing Friday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Impact Love was a limited practice participant Wednesday and Thursday, after missing last week's win over the Colts. It's unclear if he'll be back this Sunday against the Titans, but he at least seems to be doing better than initial reports suggested after he suffered an MCL sprain in a Week 1 loss to Philadelphia.

Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) will be game-time decision Sunday vs. Titans
Remains limited in practice Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Love (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Impact Love matched his activity level from Wednesday, though Thursday's session was a padded practice. Though Love was initially expected to miss somewhere in the range of 3-to-6 weeks after suffering an MCL sprain late in the Packers' Week 1 win over the Eagles, he looks like he has a serious chance of making it back after just a one-game absence. The Packers will reassess Love's status following their final Week 3 practice Friday, and LaFleur suggested that a decision on whether the quarterback will play Sunday against the Titans could come down to a game-time decision. Malik Willis will stay prepared for a second straight start in the event the Packers decide to hold Love out of the lineup for another week.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Another practice Thursday Love (knee) took part in Thursday's padded practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Love displayed some mobility while also taking snaps and throwing during Wednesday's session without pads, so his ability to go for a second day in a row indicates his recovery is going well. Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Love was wearing a device on the outside of his left knee, which didn't appear to be impacting him too much. Even if he goes down as a limited participant again Thursday, Love is putting himself in a position to be available Sunday at Tennessee.

In consideration for Week 3 Love (knee), who was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, could have a chance to play Sunday against the Titans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. "I wouldn't be surprised i...
Impact For his part, Love was non-committal about being ready to play Sunday in Tennessee, despite taking a major step forward in his recovery from an MCL sprain in his left knee by taking snaps and throwing during on-field work Wednesday. After he was diagnosed with the MCL injury following his departure in the final minute of the Packers' Week 1 loss to the Eagles back on Sept. 6, Love was projected to miss 3-to-4 weeks, but he looks to be trending toward the short end of that recovery timeline, if he doesn't beat it by a week. Schefter suggests that even if the Packers err on the side of caution and keep Love out for a second straight game Sunday, the quarterback will have a much more realistic chance of being ready to play Week 4 at home versus the Vikings.

Non-committal about Week 3 status Love (knee), who was limited at Wednesday's practice, was non-committal about his chances to play Sunday at Tennessee, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Impact After going through warmups Wednesday, Love proceeded to take snaps and throw during on-field work, per Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site. Coach Matt LaFleur then revealed Love's activity level, and the quarterback spoke to the media not longer after. "I'm going to take the week and just take it day by day and see how it feels," Love noted. "I'm not going to make any decisions right now. I'm hopeful that I can get to that point where I can get in there, but we're just going to take it day by day." For the second week in a row, the Packers are leaving the door open for Love to suit up following the MCL sprain that he sustained in the season opener, but his ability to mix into drills seemingly gives him a much better chance this time around.
