INJURIES

Returns to practice Tuesday Abram (concussion/neck) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Josh Dubow of the Associated Press reports.
Impact Abram returned to practice for the first time since suffering a concussion in a Week 14 loss to the Colts. This gives him a chance to play against the Dolphins on Saturday; he'll first need to clear the league's five-step concussion protocol. If he gets the green light, he'll return to his starting strong safety position, where he has piled up 77 tackles through 11 games.

Won't play Thursday Abram (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Chargers, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Abram was concussed in last week's loss to Indianapolis and failed to clear the league's five-step concussion protocol on a short week. Per Gutierrez, coach Jon Gruden said he looks forward to Dallin Leavitt stepping up, so Leavitt will likely help veteran Lamarcus Joyner fill the void at safety created by Abram's absence. Abram will need to clear the concussion protocol in order to play in Week 16 against Miami.

In concussion protocol Abram suffered a concussion during Sunday's 44-27 loss to the Colts, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Abram will need to clear the league's five-step concussion protocol before he can play in a game. With a short practice week ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Chargers, there's a decent chance that Abram misses his third game of the season. Lamarcus Joyner likely would start at strong safety if Abram sits out.
DECEMBER 14, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Evaluated for concussion Abram is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Colts while being evaluated for a concussion.
Impact Abram exited Sunday's game late in the fourth quarter, so it's basically guaranteed that he won't return. If he is diagnosed with a concussion, though, it could jeopardize his availability for Thursday's upcoming tilt against the Chargers.

Should play Sunday Abram (knee) is expected to be available for Sunday's game against the Colts, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Abram was listed as questionable for the contest after practicing in a limited fashion this past week. If Abram does suit up, it remains to be seen if he'll be up for his normal allotment of snaps Sunday, but when he's been available this season, he's carved out IDP utility by recording 63 tackles and two picks through 10 games.

Listed as questionable Abram (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Coach Jon Gruden was pessimistic about the safety's chances of suiting up earlier this week, but it looks like Abram has a chance to avoid missing a second consecutive game. Lamarcus Joyner will likely continue filling in for Abram if he's ultimately unable to give it a go.

Unavailable Week 13 Abram (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Impact The 24-year-old will be sidelined for at least one game after suffering the knee injury. Lamarcus Joyner is the likely candidate to start at strong safety in Abram's absence.

Misses practice Wednesday Abram (knee) didn't suit up in Wednesday's practice.
Impact Abram saw action in 96 percent of defensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Falcons, so the team could be looking to monitor his practice snaps leading up to Week 13. The 2019 first-round pick has been outstanding in his last four games, racking up 31 tackles (23 solo), two pass breakups and an interception. If Abram was unable to suit up in Week 13's game against the Jets, Lamarcus Joyner would be in line for the start at strong safety.

Returns from COVID list Abram (undisclosed) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Impact The 24-year-old landed on the COVID-19 list earlier in the week as a high-risk close contact, but he's back on the roster in time for Sunday's matchup with Kansas City. Abram should serve in his usual starting role against the Chiefs' high-powered offense.

Placed on COVID-19 list The Raiders placed Abram on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Abram was placed on the list due to being a high-risk close contact, after Clelin Ferrell tested positive for the virus Tuesday. The Mississippi State product will need to put in two negative tests 24 hours apart before gaining clearance. If Abram is forced to miss Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Jeff Heath will take over as the team's starting strong safety.
NOVEMBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Good to go Week 10 Abram (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Impact The 24-year-old worked as a limited practice participant the first two practices of the week, but he had no limitations at Friday's session. Abram should take up his usual starting spot at strong safety Sunday for Las Vegas.
NOVEMBER 13, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Managing injury Abram (groin) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice.
Impact Abram was a question mark before suiting up last week with an illness, but he appears to be managing a new issue. It's unclear how serious the groin injury is for the Mississippi State product, but expect his practice availability the rest of the week to shed a better light on his chances to play this week. If he's forced to miss time, Jeff Heath would be in line for a start at strong safety.
