Undergoes season-ending surgery
Okudah (groin) announced via his personal Twitter that he recently underwent successful core muscle surgery.
Impact
The rookie was placed on injured reserve Monday with a groin injury and has now undergone his season-ending surgery. Okudah finishes his first NFL season with 47 tackles and an interception and will now begin his rehab process.

Lands on IR
Okudah (groin) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Impact
Okudah will undergo season-ending surgery at some point this week and won't return this season. He should be back to 100 percent for the 2021 campaign, as he looks to build off an uninspiring rookie year. Through nine games this year, Okudah posted 47 tackles (41 solo), two pass breakups and an interception, and he let up 594 yards (11.2 yards per target) and two touchdowns in coverage.

Done for season
Okudah will undergo season-ending groin surgery next week, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact
Okudah missed last week's game against the Bears with shoulder and groin injuries, and he'll now be shut down for the season. The 2020 third-overall pick is expected to be 100 percent for the 2021 season. Okudah will finish his rookie season with 47 tackles (41 solo), two pass breakups and an interception over nine games. He struggled a bit in coverage, however, allowing 594 yards (11.2 yards per target) and two touchdowns this year. Expect him to be placed on injured reserve in the near future.

Unavailable against Green Bay
Okudah (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Packers.
Impact
Okudah will miss a third straight game. He didn't practice all week, either, so it's tough to get a grasp on his status for next week's clash against Tennessee. The rookie has struggled at times this season, so it won't be a major loss for the Lions' secondary. Darryl Roberts should see the largest increase in usage as a result.

Still unable to practice
Okudah (groin) did not participate during Thursday's practice session, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Impact
The rookie No. 3 overall draft choice has been unavailable for eight consecutive practice sessions, having initially sustained his groin injury Nov. 22 against Carolina. If Okudah is in fact forced into a third straight game absence, it would present an especially daunting challenge for the Lions' secondary given a Week 14 matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

Won't play Week 13
Okudah (shoulder/groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Impact
Okudah was unable to practice at all this week and has tacked on a groin injury in addition to the shoulder problem that has been bothering him since Week 11. Mike Ford should start in Okudah's spot opposite Justin Coleman, and Amani Oruwariye is the only other healthy cornerback left on Detroit's roster.

Won't suit up Thursday
Okudah (shoulder) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Texans, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Impact
Okudah missed the entire week of practice after suffering a shoulder injury in this past Sunday's loss to the Panthers. The third-overall pick's usage has declined recently, as he hasn't played more than 50 percent of the snaps on defense since Week 8. Desmond Trufant, Justin Coleman and Amani Oruwariye (back), who is considered questionable, are expected to start Thursday's game at cornerback.

Listed as DNP
Okudah (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Impact
Okudah suffered this injury during Sunday's loss to the Panthers. It's discouraging that he's starting the week as a DNP, but he'll have two more practices to upgrade his status. Mike Ford (concussion) also missed Monday's practice, so Desmond Trufant, Justin Coleman and Amani Oruwariye are the only healthy cornerbacks on Detroit's roster.

Upgraded Thursday
Okudah (ankle/groin) was a full participant at Thursday's practice, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Impact
Okudah was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice with two separate injuries, but he seems on track for Sunday's game against the Football Team. The rookie from Ohio State has played at least half of the team's defensive snaps every game he's been healthy, so expect him to do so again in Week 10 now that he's fully healthy.

ROTOWIRE
Limited in practice Wednesday
Okudah (ankle/groin) was limited in practice Wednesday.
Impact
Okudah is dealing with two separate injuries stemming from Sunday's loss to the Vikings. The rookie has played in nearly two-thirds of Detroit's defensive snaps this season so if he is ruled out, look for Amani Oruwariye and Desmond Trufant to carry the load against Washington on Sunday.

•
ROTOWIRE
Questionable to return Sunday
Okudah (ankle) has been listed as questionable to return to Sunday's matchup against the Vikings.
Impact
The No. 3 overall choice from April's draft was forced to sit out Week 1 because of a hamstring issue, but he's otherwise been available for every game of his rookie campaign. Okudah has played more than 90 percent of the defensive workload in all but one of his six outings, surrendering just one touchdown in coverage while also forcing one interception. If he can't make it Sunday, Mike Ford may be forced into a late-game role with the Lions trailing Minnesota by multiple possessions.
