Logs four touches in loss Warren rushed three times for 18 yards while securing his lone target for four yards during the Steelers' 24-20 loss to the Jets on Sunday.

Impact Warren was on the field for just 25 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps Monday, marking his second-lowest percentage of the season. However, he averaged a team-high 6.0 yards per carry, highlighted by a 14-yard run early in the second quarter. Warren's workload should remain limited as long as Najee Harris is healthy, but the Oklahoma State product has been efficient with his occasional opportunities this year.

Efficient with limited touches Warren rushed four times for 30 yards while securing his lone target for three yards during the Steelers' 29-17 loss to the Browns on Thursday.

Impact Warren was on the field for just 12 offensive snaps during Thursday's matchup, but he recorded touches on nearly half of his snaps. The 23-year-old averaged 7.5 yards per carry in the loss but had a somewhat limited fantasy impact due to his lack of touches behind starter Najee Harris. Over his first three professional games, Warren has rushed 11 times for 52 yards while securing two of three targets for three yards.

Minimal results against New England Warren rushed four times for 15 yards while securing his lone target for no yards during the Steelers' 17-14 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.

Impact Warren saw increased playing time late in last week's regular-season opener against the Bengals because Najee Harris left with a foot injury, but Harris started Sunday's Week 2 matchup after practicing fully Thursday and Friday. As a result, Warren was on the field for just 29 percent of Pittsburgh's offensive snaps, and he was unable to generate much production with his limited touches. As long as Harris remains healthy, it seems unlikely that the Steelers offense can sustain two fantasy-relevant running backs, especially given how inefficient the team has been early in the season.

Slated to work behind Harris Warren will serve as the backup running back Sunday against the Patriots since Najee Harris will be available, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Harris suffered a foot injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's overtime win over the Bengals, and Warren logged seven yards on three carries in relief. Harris was limited in practice Wednesday but was a full participant Thursday and Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation for Week 2. While it's possible that the Steelers try to manage Harris' workload ahead of Thursday's Week 3 matchup against the Browns, Warren should operate as the clear No. 2 running back as long as Harris stays healthy.

Totals 27 yards from scrimmage Warren rushed three times for three yards while securing all three of his targets for 24 yards during the Steelers' 16-15 preseason win over Jacksonville on Saturday.

Impact Benny Snell was in the Steelers' backfield for the first two drives of Saturday's matchup, but Warren was the second running back to take the field. The two backs split playing time during the first half, but Warren led the team's running backs in touches and was productive in the passing game in spite of his inefficiency on the ground. Warren has 16 touches through two preseason games and seems to be solidifying his case for a spot on the 53-man roster while making a push to serve as Pittsburgh's No. 2 running back.

Impact Warren went undrafted this spring after spending three collegiate seasons between Utah State and Oklahoma State, and he's drawn continual praise from the Steelers' coaching staff during training camp. His work with the starters with Harris and Snell sidelined bodes well for his status over fellow running back Anthony McFarland, and Warren took reps ahead of Snell -- who has resumed practicing -- Thursday. Warren seems to have a chance to emerge as Pittsburgh's No. 2 running back as the preseason continues, Dale Lolley of DKPittsburghSports.com reports. Warren rushed six times for 34 yards while securing four of five targets for 30 yards and a touchdown during the Steelers' preseason win over the Seahawks, but he also fumbled on a 13-yard run. The ball was recovered by Pittsburgh, but the 23-year-old has placed an increased emphasis on ball security since then. Najee Harris doesn't expect to play Saturday against the Jaguars, so Warren should have the chance to earn meaningful work during the preseason tilt as he continues to compete with McFarland and Snell.

Records 10 touches against Seattle Warren rushed six times for 34 yards while securing four of five targets for 30 yards and a touchdown during the Steelers' 32-25 preseason win over the Seahawks on Saturday.

Impact Although Anthony McFarland started Saturday's preseason opener, Warren led the team in touches and topped 60 yards from scrimmage while also reaching the end zone. Warren has generated plenty of buzz over the first few weeks of training camp and certainly appears to be in the competition for backfield work behind starter Najee Harris with just under a month remaining until the start of the regular season.

Continues to make impact at camp Warren has made a continual impact over the first two and a half weeks of training camp, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Although Warren went undrafted this past April, he's making a strong case for a spot on the Steelers' 53-man roster during camp. He broke several tackles for a 70-yard touchdown during Thursday's practice session and should get increased looks if Benny Snell (knee) is forced to miss any time beyond Thursday. Warren will still need to prove himself during preseason games, but the Oklahoma State product appears to be firmly in the mix for a role as depth at running back.

Making case for roster spot Warren is making a case for a spot on the Steelers' 53-man roster early in training camp, Bob Labriola of the Steelers' official site reports.

Impact Warren joined the Steelers as an undrafted free agent at the beginning of May but has had a strong start to camp. He had the longest rush of the day during Tuesday's live tackling period, breaking several tackles en route to a 15-yard gain. Benny Snell seems to be the likeliest option to serve as the No. 2 running back behind starter Najee Harris, but Warren should have a chance to compete with Anthony McFarland, Mataeo Durant and Master Teague for one of the final spots on Pittsburgh's roster ahead of the regular season.
