Michael Sturdivant in Green Bay's wide receiver room, while Savion Williams (ankle) is on IR with a designation to return, meaning the 2025 third-round pick will miss at least four weeks before possibly factoring into the equation as well. Reed has historically been productive when healthy despite frequently coming off the field in two-wide sets, with his 63.2 percent snap share during the 2024 regular season representing his single-season career high. Watson is locked in as a starter, but Reed could earn a larger share of playing time if he holds off the 2025 first-round pick Golden.

Impact Reed briefly missed some practice time earlier this month but was able to play in preseason Week 1 at Pittsburgh, when he hauled in one of two targets for 19 yards. Impact The Packers began the game with most of their offensive starters on the field, including QB Jordan Love, but they all made quick exits. Reed is established as one of the team's top three wideouts alongside Christian Watson and Matthew Golden, but as in years past in Matt LaFleur's offense, who the actual top option is could change from week to week. Reed played only seven regular-season games in 2025 due to injuries, catching 19 of 22 targets for 207 yards and one touchdown.

Impact Head coach Matt LaFleur relayed to reporters that Reed's ankle injury isn't considered a long-term concern. The fourth-year wideout can be considered day-to-day for now, though he may be held out of Thursday's preseason opener against the Steelers for precautionary reasons. Reed suited up for only seven regular-season games last year, as he missed time due to a fractured foot and broken collarbone, but he is on track to suit up for Week 1 against the Vikings on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Impact Reed played through a fractured foot at the beginning of last season and then missed 10 games after breaking his collarbone in Week 2. He returned for the stretch run and scored a touchdown on a season-high seven targets during the playoff loss at Chicago. With Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks out of the picture, each of Reed, Christian Watson and Matthew Golden has a solid case for career-high volume this year. There is still some doubt about Reed's playing time in two-wide packages, as he's largely been confined to 11 personnel through the first three years of his NFL career.
