With veteran wideouts Kendrick Bourne and Trent Taylor both having departed San Francisco this offseason, there could be room for Hurd to carve out a role on offense, provided he stays healthy.

As long as Hurd can keep healthy, he could offer the likes of Richie James, Mohamed Sanu and Trent Sherfield strong competition for the No. 3 receiver role.
