Impact Haskins fell back down the depth chart due to the return of Dontrell Hilliard. Unless either Derrick Henry or Hilliard misses time, Haskins will be in for a limited role in the Titans' offense.

Impact Haskins tallied the first carries of his NFL career, though only one came in the first half. The majority of his work came in the final 18 minutes of game time, after starters such as Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill were pulled. Haskins managed some nice gains -- highlighted by a nine-yard rush early in the fourth quarter -- but he'll likely return to a third-string role once Dontrell Hilliard (hamstring) can retake the field.

47 total yards in preseason win Haskins rushed 12 times for 39 yards and secured both targets for eight yards in the Titans' 13-3 preseason win over the Buccaneers on Saturday night.

Impact After logging 48 yards on nine touches in the Titans' preseason opener against the Ravens, Haskins saw a nice bump in workload as the second running back into the game for Tennessee. The rookie fourth-round pick appears to be the favorite for the No. 3 running back job, but undrafted free agent Julius Chestnut (10 rushes for 35 yards and two receptions for 10 yards) kept the heat on Saturday night in a competition that appears destined to stretch into next Saturday night's home exhibition finale against the Cardinals.

Solid impact as receiver Haskins rushed six times for just 19 yards but brought in three of four targets for 29 yards in the Titans' 23-10 preseason loss to the Ravens on Thursday night.

Impact The rookie fourth-round pick, who is looking to cement a complementary/backup role in a backfield that also includes Derrick Henry and Dontrell Hilliard, was outperformed by undrafted free agent Julius Chestnut on the ground, but Haskins did a nice job showing off his receiving chops. The Michigan product saw one fewer carry than Chestnut, but he outpaced fellow depth backs Jordan Wilkins and Trenton Cannon by five rush attempts apiece. Haskins should get another fairly extensive look when the Titans face the Buccaneers in their second preseason game a week from Saturday night.

Selected by Tennessee in the fourth The Titans selected Haskins in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 131st overall.

Impact This is an odd selection for a couple reasons -- the first is that Haskins wasn't expected to get drafted until later in the draft's third day, if at all -- the second is that the Titans had a better version of Haskins in D'Onta Foreman and let him walk in free agency for peanuts. Haskins is a slower power back out of Michigan, and at 6-foot-2, 228 pounds he has a problematically high build for the position. A 6-foot-2 running back is a target for upper body collisions, especially when they're lighter than 235 pounds or so. Haskins will hold his ground and run hard if the Titans need him to, but he also might struggle to get to the second level in the NFL.
