Harrison Bryant - Page 2 - NFL News, Rumors, & Updates

Released by Texans The Texans released Bryant on Tuesday.

Impact Bryant played 13 games with the Raiders last season and posted nine catches (12 targets) for 86 yards. He signed with the Eagles in March and was subsequently traded to the Texans on Aug. 17 in a deal that had John Metchie going the other way. However, he couldn't carve out a role, so the Texans' initial 53-man roster will feature tight ends Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover.

Impact Bryant finishes his 2024 campaign with nine receptions for 86 yards on 12 targets across 13 games with the Raiders, primarily providing depth at tight end behind All-Pro rookie Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer. Bowers isn't going anywhere, while Bryant is slated to become an unrestricted free agent in 2025.

Full participant Tuesday Bryant (ankle) was considered to be a full participant at the Raiders' walkthrough Tuesday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.

Impact Bryant appears to be set to return to the field Friday versus Kansas City after missing the last two games with an ankle injury. The 26-year-old will be back in his role as the No. 3 option behind Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer at tight end in Week 13.

Remaining out Week 12 Bryant (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's matchup versus Denver.

Impact Bryant injured his ankle Week 9 against Cincinnati and will miss his second consecutive contest following the Raiders' Week 10 bye. The tight end did manage to log a pair of limited practices to end the week, so he could get back on the field for a Black Friday matchup against the Chiefs in Week 13. Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer will lead Las Vegas' tight-end corps against the Broncos.

Could return Sunday Bryant (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Broncos.

Impact Bryant started the Raiders' week of practice with a DNP but followed that up with consecutive limited sessions, suggesting that he could be trending toward playing in Sunday's divisional matchup. The first-year Raider has caught nine of his 12 targets for 86 yards through eight appearances this season. If Bryant is sidelined for the second consecutive game in Week 12, Justin Shorter is likely to serve as the Raiders' No. 3 tight end.

NOVEMBER 22, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Opens week as DNP Bryant (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.

Impact Bryant was sidelined for the Raiders' Week 11 loss to the Dolphins due to an ankle injury, so Wednesday's DNP comes as no surprise. He likely needs to get back on the field in a limited capacity either Thursday or Friday in order to suit up for Las Vegas' Week 12 matchup against the Broncos. If Bryant is unable to do so, expect Justin Shorter to serve as the Raiders' No. 3 tight end.

NOVEMBER 20, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Won't play Week 11 Bryant (ankle) did not practice Friday and has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Impact Bryant was able to practice in a limited capacity Thursday, but his ankle injury was serious enough to prevent him from seeing the field Friday, and the 2020 fourth-round pick will be sidelined Sunday for the second time this season. With Bryant sidelined, Justin Shorter will serve as the Raiders' No. 2 tight end behind rookie starter Brock Bowers.

NOVEMBER 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Able to practice Thursday Bryant (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Impact Bryant suffered an ankle injury in Week 9 against the Bengals, and even with the Raiders coming off a Week 10 bye, the issue kept him off the practice field Wednesday. His ability to return Thursday indicates he's progressing through the issue, and if he can practice Friday, he'll give himself a shot at playing against Miami on Sunday. Over his last three games, Bryant has logged seven catches (on nine targets) for 65 yards.

NOVEMBER 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Opens week as DNP Bryant (ankle) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.

Impact It appears Bryant is still dealing with the ankle injury sustained in the Raiders' Week 9 loss to the Bengals, despite having a Week 10 bye. The 26-year-old tight end likely needs to upgrade to at least limited participation Thursday or Friday in order to take the field in Week 11, when the Raiders face the Dolphins. If he's unable to do so, expect Justin Shorter to serve as Las Vegas' No. 2 tight end Sunday.

NOVEMBER 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE

Leaves with ankle injury Bryant exited Sunday's contest against the Bengals with an ankle injury and is questionable to return.

Impact Prior to leaving, Bryant caught both of his targets in the pass game for 22 yards. Justin Shorter is next up on the depth chart at tight end behind Brock Bowers.
