INJURIES

Targeted four times Calcaterra pulled in two of his four targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 48-22 victory over the Giants.
Impact It was a busy day by Calcaterra's standards, as he'd only been targeted three times all year heading into the week. He was involved right from the start, catching a 13-yard pass on the Eagles' first play of the game. He got his team into the red zone with an 11-yard catch later on the same drive, but he failed to add to his tally the rest of the way.
DECEMBER 13, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Loses yards on lone catch Calcaterra lost two yards on his only catch in Sunday's win over Green Bay.
Impact Dallas Goedert (shoulder) missed his second consecutive game, but the Eagles have adjusted to his absence by hardly looking to their tight ends at all. In Week 11, it was Jack Stoll who provided the unit's lone target and lone reception, and it was Calcaterra who got that honor in Week 12. Nothing in the Eagles' game plan suggests that any Philadelphia tight end will have fantasy relevance until Goedert returns.
NOVEMBER 28, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Minimal role in Goedert's absence Calcaterra saw the field for just 19 offensive snaps and was not targeted a single time in Sunday's win over Indianapolis.
Impact Calcaterra could have been in line for an increased role in the absence of Dallas Goedert (shoulder), as No. 2 tight end Jack Stoll primarily fills a blocking role. While Calcaterra did indeed set a season high in offensive snaps, he remained in nowhere near a fantasy-relevant role.

Role could grow sans Goedert Calcaterra could benefit from an uptick in snaps with top tight end Dallas Goedert suffering a shoulder injury in Monday's loss to the Commanders that is expected to sideline him f...
Impact Jack Stoll has played 40 percent of the Eagles' snaps on offense this season and has been the clear No. 2 tight end through the team's first nine games, but he's been deployed almost exclusively as a blocker and has recorded just eight receptions through 25 career games. As such, the Eagles could look to the likes of Calcaterra and Tyree Jackson (knee) -- who is on the PUP list but could be activated Week 11 -- to help pick up the slack in the pass-catching department while Goedert and the 5.9 targets per game he's averaged for the season are out of the lineup. While Goedert has generally enjoyed could health this season up until now, Calcaterra hasn't played more than 17 snaps in any game in 2022 and hasn't drawn a target since he recorded a 40-yard reception Week 3.
NOVEMBER 15, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Goes without target in Week 8 Calcaterra wasn't targeted while playing 11 of the Eagles' 53 snaps on offense Sunday in the team's 35-13 win over the Steelers.
Impact A healthy inactive through the Eagles' first two games, Calcaterra has now dressed in five consecutive contests as Philadelphia's No. 3 tight end. The role hasn't translated to much meaningful production or playing time, as the rookie has one reception (for 40 yards) to his name while playing just 55 total snaps on offense in his five games.

Will sit again Calcaterra (coach's decision) is inactive Monday against the Vikings.
Impact Calcaterra will sit again in Week 2 despite making the 53-man roster. The Eagles have opted to bring Noah Togiai up from the practice squad for the second straight week to dress as the No. 3 tight end, leaving Calcaterra sidelined. The rookie tight end will continue to try and earn the chance to make his NFL debut in Week 3, when the Eagles play the Commanders.

Back at practice Calcaterra (hamstring) returned to practice Friday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Impact Calcaterra practiced for the first time since July 30 on Friday after being sidelined with a hamstring issue. The tight end was drafted in the sixth round of this year's draft and will compete with Jack Stoll and Tyree Jackson (knee) for the backup role behind Dallas Goedert in 2022.
AUGUST 19, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Not yet recovered Calcaterra (hamstring) is still not practicing with the team Sunday, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports.
Impact Calcaterra suffered the injury during practice Aug. 1 and has been out since. Selected in the sixth round of the 2022 Draft, Calcaterra is likely competing with the returning Richard Rodgers for a roster spot, with Tyree Jackson (knee) on the active/PUP list.

Hurts leg in practice Calcaterra suffered a leg injury in practice Saturday, Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal reports.
Impact The severity of Calcaterra's injury is unclear, but it will keep him out of practice Monday at minimum. Once cleared to return, the rookie sixth-round pick will attempt to carve out a depth role on Philadelphia's tight end depth chart.
