INJURIES

Ready for Sunday Calcaterra (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's wild-card round matchup with the 49ers.
Impact Calcaterra was able to upgrade to a full participant in Friday's practice after being limited Thursday and a non-participant Wednesday. The tight end is all set to suit up for Sunday's playoff contest as the No. 2 option behind Dallas Goedert.

Upgrades to limited practice Calcaterra (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday.
Impact Calcaterra did not practice Wednesday, but he appears to be making progress ahead of Sunday's wild-card round matchup against the 49ers. Meanwhile, top tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) has logged back-to-back limited practices after having sat out Week 18. It appears both TEs have a solid chance of being available for Sunday's contest, and Friday's practice report will officially reveal whether either Calcaterra or Goedert are assigned an official injury tag.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Not practicing Calcaterra (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.
Impact Calcaterra made an early exit from Sunday's 24-17 loss to Washington on account of knee and ankle injuries. He's now listed with just an ankle injury, but it's not enough to keep him out of practice, whereas starting tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) was a limited participant Wednesday. Goedert didn't practice or play last week, but he now appears on track to return for Sunday's game against the 49ers.

Eagles' backup plan backfires with 24-17 loss to Commanders that costs them shot at NFC's No. 2 seed

The Eagles’ backup plan backfired, and the Super Bowl champions will start their postseason defense of the title as the No. 3 seed in the NFC
JANUARY 5 • Associated Press
Exits game with multiple injuries Calcaterra (ankle/knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Commanders.
Impact Calcaterra appeared to sustain the injuries while being tackled by Jeremy Reaves in the third quarter, and the former was taken to the locker room to be evaluated by medical staff. Dallas Goedert (knee) is inactive, so Kylen Granson and Cameron Latu are in line for more offensive snaps at tight end for as long as Calcaterra is out of the game.

Highlight: Grant Calcaterra's first TD reception of '25 comes on strike from Tanner McKee Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee delivers a perfect 15-yard touchdown pass up the seam to tight end Grant Calcaterra.
JANUARY 4 • PHILADELPHIAEAGLES.COM
Notches sixth reception of 2025 Calcaterra hauled in his lone target for a four-yard reception while playing 37 of 69 offensive snaps in Sunday's 31-0 win over the Raiders.
Impact Though he saw ample playing time behind top tight end Dallas Goedert in the blowout win, Calcaterra was deployed primarily as a blocker, as he ran just six routes on the afternoon. That's been par for the course for Calcaterra throughout the season; he's logged double-digit snaps in all but one of his 12 appearances but has just six catches for 52 yards on nine targets.
DECEMBER 17, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Held without target Monday Calcaterra wasn't targeted while playing 15 of the Eagles' 71 snaps on offense in Monday's 22-19 overtime loss to the Chargers.
Impact Calcaterra continued to serve mainly as a blocker on offense for the Eagles; he didn't run a route on any of his 15 snaps in Week 14. Even with top tight end Dallas Goedert missing a game back in Week 2, Calcaterra hasn't made much of a splash in fantasy at any point this season. He's totaled five receptions for 48 yards and no touchdowns on eight targets through 11 appearances.
DECEMBER 10, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
No targets Sunday Calcaterra went without a target while playing 34 of the Eagles' 72 snaps on offense in Sunday's 16-9 win over the Lions.
Impact Though he was on the field for nearly half of the Eagles' snaps, Calcaterra ran just three routes on the night. So long as top tight end Dallas Goedert stays healthy, Calcaterra looks like he'll be limited mostly to a blocking role on offense.
NOVEMBER 19, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
No targets in Week 8 return Calcaterra went without a target while playing 36 of the Eagles' 59 snaps on offense in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Giants.
Impact Though he played just one fewer snap than top tight end Dallas Goedert, Calcaterra -- who had missed the previous two games while recovering from a concussion -- was substantially less involved in the passing game. Goedert ran 21 routes to Calcaterra's eight and capitalized on those opportunities, finishing with a 3-28-2 receiving line on three targets. Calcaterra will continue to remain an infrequent target of quarterback Jalen Hurts so long as Goedert is available.

Cleared to play Week 8 Calcaterra (oblique) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Giants.
Impact After missing the previous two games, Calcaterra will return to the field as Dallas Goedert's backup. Calcaterra has just four catches for 40 scoreless yards on the season and carries no fantasy value while Goedert is healthy.
OCTOBER 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Still limited Thursday Calcaterra (oblique) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
Impact Calcaterra has missed two consecutive games with the injury, but back-to-back limited practices at least gives him a chance to return for Week 8 against the Giants. Calcaterra has four catches for 40 scoreless yards as Dallas Goedert's distant backup this season.
OCTOBER 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Logs limited practice Wednesday Calcaterra (oblique) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
Impact Calcaterra has sat out Philadelphia's last two games due to an oblique issue he picked up in Week 5 versus the Broncos, but it now appears he could be on track to suit up again soon. He'll get two more chances to upgrade to a full practice before the Eagles release their final practice report of the week Friday.

OCTOBER 18, 2025 • THENEWSTRIBUNE.COM
Remains sidelined by oblique injury Calcaterra (oblique) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Impact Calcaterra will sit out a second consecutive game. Kylen Granson should see added run as Dallas Goedert's backup against the Vikings.
OCTOBER 17, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Absent for first practice of Week 7 Calcaterra (oblique) didn't practice Wednesday.
Impact Calcaterra suffered an oblique injury in the first quarter of a Week 5 loss to Denver and hasn't practiced since. Philadelphia last played on Thursday Night Football against the Giants, but even with the extra time between games, he's very much at risk of sitting out this Sunday's matchup in Minnesota. If that proves to be the case, Kylen Granson would likely work as the Eagles' No. 2 tight end behind Dallas Goedert.

Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter is not playing against the Giants because of a heel injury

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter is not playing in the reigning Super Bowl champions' game at the New York Giants because of a heel injury
OCTOBER 9, 2025 • Associated Press
Out for Thursday night Calcaterra (oblique) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Giants.
Impact The 2022 sixth-round pick from SMU sustained an oblique injury in the Eagles' Week 5 loss to the Broncos, limiting him to just seven offensive snaps. He didn't practice all week and is now in line to miss his first contest of the 2025 season. While Calcaterra is sidelined Thursday night, Kylen Granson is expected to operate as Philly's No. 2 tight end.

OCTOBER 8, 2025 • Associated Press
Estimated DNP for Tuesday The Eagles listed Calcaterra (oblique) as a DNP on Tuesday's estimated injury report.
Impact Calcaterra is recovering from an oblique injury that he suffered during Sunday's loss against the Broncos. However, with the Eagles operating on a short week, the fourth-year tight end is in jeopardy of being sidelined for Thursday's NFC East clash against the Giants. Kylen Granson would be in line to see a spike in snaps on offense as the TE2 behind Dallas Goedert if Calcaterra is not cleared to play.
OCTOBER 7, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Sits out walk-through practice The Eagles listed Calcaterra (oblique) as a non-participant for Thursday's walk-through practice.
Impact Calcaterra is recovering from an oblique injury that he suffered during Sunday's loss to the Broncos. With the Eagles facing a quick turnaround for Week 6 with a Thursday night matchup versus the Eagles, the expectation is that Calcalterra will miss his first game of the season, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer. If Calcaterra ends up being ruled out for the Week 6 contest, Kylen Granson would step in as the top backup to starting tight end Dallas Goedert.
OCTOBER 7, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Considered unavailable Monday Calcaterra (oblique) was considered to be a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report.
Impact Calcaterra suffered an oblique injury in the first quarter of the team's 21-17 loss to the Broncos in Week 5, ultimately remaining sidelined for the rest of the day. The tight end will have two more chances to participate in some capacity at practice before Thursday's matchup with the Giants.
OCTOBER 6, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Done for day Calcaterra (oblique) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Broncos, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Impact Calcaterra suffered an oblique injury in the first quarter. The injury is severe enough for him to be sidelined for the rest of Sunday's game, and it puts him in jeopardy of missing the Eagles' Week 6 clash against the Giants on Thursday. Cameron Latu and Kylen Granson will serve as the Eagles' backup tight ends behind Dallas Goedert in Calcaterra's absence.
OCTOBER 5, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Exits game with oblique injury Calcaterra is questionable to return to Sunday's game against Denver due to an oblique injury.
Impact Calcaterra went to the locker room in the first quarter after sustaining an oblique injury, and he'll undergo further tests to determine whether he can return. Kylen Granson and Cameron Latu will see more snaps at tight end behind starter Dallas Goedert for as long as Calcaterra is out of the game.
OCTOBER 5, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Good to go against Denver Calcaterra (illness) was a full participant in Friday's practice and carries no injury designation into Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Impact Calcaterra popped up on Thursday's injury report due to an illness, but the fourth-year tight end has been cleared to play in Week 5. With Dallas Goedert (knee) also given the green light to play Sunday, Calcaterra will slot in as the Eagles' TE2 while Kylen Granson and Cameron Latu provide additional depth at the position.
