Impact After spending the first 10 years of his career with Minnesota, Griffen split time between Dallas and Detroit last season, totaling 33 tackles and six sacks in 14 games. The tackle count matched his low for a campaign since 2013, and he only failed to hit six sacks once since that season. Griffen bided his time this offseason and finally reunited with the Vikings on Aug. 23, but he also was among the cuts the team made to get down to 53 players Tuesday. After two days (officially) as a free agent, Griffen finds himself employed and in a rotation of pass rushers with Danielle Hunter, Stephen Weatherly and D.J. Wonnum.

Impact Griffen played in seven games for Dallas before being traded to Detroit midseason. The 33-year-old provided a spark to a dormant Lions pass rush and ultimately put up respectable numbers in limited playing time. While Griffen is probably past the point in his career when he can be relied upon as an every-down starter, the former Viking at least showed he has something left in the tank this year despite his advanced age. Griffen will now enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent who shouldn't be hurting for suitors when the new league year starts up in March.
