Impact Tranquill landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday after testing positive for the illness. He will need two negative tests at least 24 hours apart before he is deemed eligible to return. Look for Nick Niemann to step in to a starting role at inside linebacker in his absence.

Impact Tranquill has now recorded nine-plus total tackles in two of his last three games, setting the stage for his best statistical NFL season yet. The 2019 fourth-round pick has stepped into an important defensive role for Los Angeles. However, it may be a difficult afternoon next Sunday as Tranquill and the Chargers look to contain star running back Dalvin Cook.
