Officially limited Wednesday Wicks (shoulder) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.

Impact Wicks sustained a shoulder injury this past Sunday versus the Cardinals and wasn't able to return to action. There was an initial belief that he was in the week-to-week category, per Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports, but Wicks' ability to practice Wednesday has given him a chance to be available Sunday against the Texans. Fellow WRs Jayden Reed (ankle) and Christian Watson (ankle) also had a cap on their reps to begin Week 7 prep, so the situation will be one to watch as the week goes on.

Impact The lack of efficiency aside, there were plenty of reasons for fantasy managers to draw encouragement from Wicks' performance after the second-year wideout was blanked in two of his first three games. Wicks not only led the Packers in targets, but all three components of his receiving line were season highs. Additionally, Wicks scored his second and third touchdowns of the campaign on six- and 17-yard scoring grabs in the fourth quarter, helping key a comeback that was nearly successful. Although there will always be plenty of competition for Jordan Love's attention, Wicks holds plenty of appeal heading into a Week 5 road matchup against a vulnerable Rams secondary that Christian Watson (ankle) could miss.

Impact Romeo Doubs led the WRs with 21 first-team snaps, followed by Christian Watson (19) and Jayden Reed (16). It's only one practice, but this adds to the concerns about Wicks not getting regular playing time despite making the most of his limited opportunities as a rookie. The 2023 fifth-round pick led the Packers in yards per target (10.0) and yards per route (2.13) last season, putting up a 39-581-4 receiving line on just 58 targets, 273 routes and 458 snaps. In different circumstances, Wicks might now slot in as a comfortable starter with a full workload. His current reality, however, is that the Packers' impressive depth at wide receiver means he'll have to continue battling for snaps.
