Impact The tight end tore his Achilles during OTAs on Tuesday, but this move confirms that he's out for the season. Parham signed with the Steelers in February, spent most of 2024 on Denver's practice squad and last caught an NFL pass in 2023 with the Chargers. That was also his best season, when he grabbed 27 passes for 285 yards and four scores.

Suffers torn Achilles in OTAs Parham tore his Achilles during OTAs on Tuesday and will likely miss the 2025 season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Impact Parham signed with the Steelers in late February after spending most of last season on Denver's practice squad. The veteran tight end logged a career-high 27 catches for 285 yards and four touchdowns over 14 regular-season games with the Chargers in 2023 but hasn't appeared in an NFL contest since. He was slated to compete for a depth role with the Steelers behind starting TE Pat Friermuth, but Parham now isn't likely to take the field again until 2026.

Impact Parham went undrafted in 2019 but caught on with the Chargers a year later and ended up starting 23 of his 47 regular-season games from 2020 to 2023. The Chargers put him to use near the goal line, with Parham having 11 TDs among his 67 career receptions. Parham will turn 28 shortly before the start of the 2025 campaign and has his work cut out for him to earn a roster spot.

Impact Parham spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Chargers, during which he accumulated 67 catches for 764 yards and 11 touchdowns across 47 regular-season games. The Broncos have Adam Trautman and Greg Dulcich as their top two tight ends on the depth chart, and Parham should have a good chance of being elevated to the active roster at some point during the regular season.

Impact Parham's touchdown was his fourth red-zone score of the year and capped off what was a productive first-half for the Chargers against a clearly limited Bears team overall. Despite Gerald Everett (hip) being unavailable, Parham didn't deviate too much from his playing-time splits as Stone Smartt (39 snaps) and Tre' McKitty (15 snaps) each saw plenty of time even though the running game (54 yards on 25 carries) failed to take off. Expect Parham to be a potential low-end fantasy start Week 9 if Everett is once again unavailable.

Just three targets in loss Parham caught one of his three targets for nine yards in the 31-17 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.

Impact Parham once again barely was utilized, and one of his three targets ended up drawing Justin Herbert's first interception of the afternoon. The veteran's 25 offensive snaps was also his second fewest of the season. The big-bodied target is just too specialized as an offensive weapon to be consistently fantasy relevant, but that could change depending on the status of Gerald Everett, who left Sunday's game with a quad injury.

Impact Parham and Los Angeles reportedly had talks about a potential extension, but the two sides have been unable to agree to terms. That sets up the depth tight end, who appeared in just six games last season due to injuries, to search for a new role elsewhere. The 25-year-old shouldn't have much difficulty earning a reserve gig on the open market.
