Sat out for disciplinary reasons Head coach David Culley said King (coach's decision) was held out of Sunday's contest against the Rams for disciplinary reasons, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Impact King signed a one-year deal with Houston this offseason and had been operating as the Colts' top nickel cornerback throughout the 2021 campaign. It's unclear what the 26-year-old did to result in the benching, but it may impact his standing with the team for the remainder of the season. Tavierre Thomas and Tremon Smith both saw increased defensive snaps during King's absence, and Smith also took over return duties.

Healthy scratch Week 8 King (coach's decision) is a healthy inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams.

Impact King signed a one-year deal with Houston this offseason and was expected to hold down a role as the team's top nickel back throughout 2021, but his inactive status Sunday implies the Texans weren't impressed with his work in the first half of the campaign. He was potentially in danger of missing Week 6 after sitting out Friday's practice, but it appears the hip issue has taken a turn for the better, and he won't have to miss his first game of the season.

Impact King racked up stats during Sunday's blowout loss, a contest in which he played 100 percent of defensive snaps for the first time this season. However, in Weeks 2 and 3, the veteran only played 26 and 46 percent of defensive snaps, respectively, so he isn't yet easy to trust for fantasy purposes.
