Struggling offense puts LA Rams on brink of missing playoffs
The Los Angeles Rams’ sputtering offense is the biggest culprit in their slide from the top of the NFC West to the brink of missing the playoffs

High-ankle sprain feared
Henderson is believed to have suffered a high-ankle sprain during Sunday's 20-9 loss to the Seahawks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact
Henderson was forced out of Sunday's divisional loss in the fourth quarter, logging 12 carries for 62 yards before his exit. It now appears as though Henderson's ankle issue could be significant, and with No. 1 running back Cam Akers already sidelined due to the same injury, Los Angeles' backfield could be severely lacking in depth Week 17. Malcolm Brown, Xavier Jones and Raymond Calais are currently the Rams' only healthy tailbacks.

Hurts ankle Sunday
Henderson left Sunday's game at Seattle with a left ankle injury, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Impact
The Rams are already without No. 1 running back Cam Akers due to a high-ankle sprain, and now his replacement is tending to an ankle issue of his own. Henderson is doubtful to return to the field, so he seems destined to end Week 16 with 12 carries for 62 yards. With Akers and Henderson sidelined, L.A. has turned to Malcolm Brown out of the backfield.

More opportunities on tap Week 16
Head coach Sean McVay said both Henderson and Malcolm Brown will be "heavily involved" in the Rams' game plan Sunday in Seattle with top back Cam Akers (ankle) ruled out for the co...
Impact
Before Akers emerged as the team's clear top back over the past three games, the lead option out of the Los Angeles backfield had been a difficult one to predict in any given week. Expect that to be the case this weekend, as McVay was unwilling to anoint either Henderson or Brown as the No. 1 option, nor was he willing to divulge how the work may be divvied up between the two. For fantasy managers looking to roll the dice on one of the two backs this week, Henderson represents the more intriguing option, as he's displayed more explosiveness as a runner and receiver than Brown, who is valued mainly for his skills in pass protection. Henderson averaged 4.8 yards per carry and 8.0 yards per target through the Rams' first eight games, but his efficiency has taken a big hit -- along with his overall opportunities -- so far in the second half of the season (3.4 YPC, 4.3 YPT in six games).

Uninvolved in loss
Henderson rushed once for a loss of two yards and caught his only target for five yards during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Jets. He played just seven of 59 offensive snaps.
Impact
The sophomore has now been limited to just 39 rushes for 151 yards and seven receptions for 50 yards over the past seven games. Additionally, with rookie Cam Akers the clear No. 1 back over the past three contests, Henderson's outlook isn't promising heading into Los Angeles' Week 16 matchup against Seattle.

Watches rookie run all over Pats
Henderson rushed twice for five yards and only played seven offensive snaps during Thursday's 24-3 win over New England.
Impact
The sophomore rusher took a backseat to rookie Cam Akers on Thursday, as Akers churned out big run after big run on Los Angeles' first two drives, and head coach Sean McVay leaned on the freshman thereafter. Henderson's two carries won't pay the fantasy bills, and managers should be concerned -- even if it's been speculated that Akers' role was likely to expand for the past few weeks. While it would be surprising if Henderson didn't see more work over the coming weeks, veteran Malcolm Brown will also likely receive some playing time. As a result, anyone counting on production from Henderson in the fantasy playoffs should be worried. He's probably going to struggle to produce as long as Akers is healthy and showing the form he has the past three weeks.

Finds end zone in win
Henderson carried the ball three times for 49 yards and a touchdown and caught two of three targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 38-28 win over the Cardinals.
Impact
He left the game briefly in the second quarter to get his knee checked out and overall took a back seat to rookie Cam Akers, who got 21 carries, but Henderson nearly matched Akers' fantasy production thanks to a 38-yard TD run in the fourth quarter. Nonetheless, Henderson's role and value seem to be waning heading into Week 14's clash with a Patriots defense that just shut out the Chargers.

Back in Sunday's game
Henderson (knee) returned to Sunday's game at Arizona, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Prior to his departure in the second quarter due to a knee injury, Henderson managed to compile 17 yards on his three touches. With a 19-yard catch to start the second half, he's back in the Rams' backfield mix with Cam Akers and Malcolm Brown.

Suffers knee injury Sunday
Henderson hurt his knee during Sunday's contest in Arizona.
Impact
At the time of his departure in the second quarter, Henderson had two carries for 11 yards and one reception (on two targets) for six yards. As long as he's sidelined, the Rams backfield will be composed of Cam Akers and Malcolm Brown.

Bottled up by Niners
Henderson rushed 10 times for 19 yards during Sunday's 23-20 loss to San Francisco.
Impact
The sophomore's fantasy day could have been somewhat saved if quarterback Jared Goff hadn't overthrown Henderson on a would-be touchdown in the third quarter. Instead, Henderson has now been limited in consecutive games with just 24 rushing yards on 18 carries and four receiving yards on two receptions. Making matters worse, the Rams continued their commitment to utilizing three running backs. Rookie Cam Akers was the most explosive runner Sunday with 84 yards and a touchdown, whereas veteran Malcolm Brown led the backfield in offensive snaps with 25. It's all adding up to Henderson's value trending in the wrong direction.

Unproductive against Bucs
Henderson rushed eight times for five yards and caught two of three targets for four yards in Monday night's 27-24 win over the Buccaneers.
Impact
Henderson was nearly non-existent from a production standpoint despite hitting double digits in touches. With a matchup against the league's best rush defense, however, none of Los Angeles' top three tailbacks gained more than 20 yards, and Henderson still led the group in carries. Although rookie Cam Akers caught a touchdown out of the backfield, Monday didn't seem to do anything to alter anyone's standing in the Rams' running-back rotation, so even though Henderson has been underwhelming lately, he should remain in a large role Week 12 versus the 49ers.

Finds end zone in win
Henderson carried the ball seven times for 28 yards and a touchdown and caught his only target for five yards in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Seahawks.
Impact
The Rams deployed a true backfield committee in this one, as Cam Akers wound up with 10 touches and Malcolm Brown eight, but Henderson was able to salvage his fantasy day with a seven-yard TD run in the first quarter. All three backs could struggle to post useful numbers if that workload split continues in Week 11 on the road against a very stingy Buccaneers run defense.
