Productive rookie season Simon notched 76 tackles, including 0.5 sack, two pass defenses (no interceptions) and one forced fumble in 16 regular-season contests in 2025.

Impact Prior to the Cardinals' Week 8 bye, Simon logged just three defensive snaps, but after Mack WIlson (ribs) was lost for the season Week 9, the rookie fourth-round pick played 100 percent of the snaps seven times over the last nine games while working alongside mainstay off-ball LB Akeem Davis-Gaither. All three players are under contract in 2026, so it remains to be seen who among them will settle into the one or two starting roles once new head coach coach Mike LaFleur settles on a new defensive coordinator.

Leading tackler in loss Simon recorded 15 tackles (four solo) including 0.5 sacks during Sunday's 37-14 loss at Cincinnati.

Impact Aided by a game script that saw the pass-happy Bengals run the ball 35 times, Simon achieved a new best tackle total for his young career in Week 17. Since he's now operating as the Cardinals' top option at linebacker, he's solidly within the bounds of the IDP discussion going into a Week 18 matchup against the Rams.

Good to go for Week 16 Simon (knee) is active for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Impact Simon made an early exit from last Sunday's loss to the Texans due to a knee injury. He was able to log a trio of limited practices this week and has been cleared to take the field Sunday. The rookie linebacker logged every defensive snap for Arizona from Week 10 to Week 14 and will likely take on a major role again versus the Falcons.

Questionable for Sunday Simon (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Impact Simon logged three consecutive limited practices this week. The middle linebacker's participation was not enough to avoid an injury designation, but it seems to be enough to indicate that he will likely suit up for Sunday's contest. If the fourth-round rookie is unable to play, Akeem Davis-Gaither or Zaven Collins may be asked to slide over to middle linebacker and let Owen Pappoe or Baron Browning take over another position for the corps, as other middle linebackers Mack Wilson (ribs) and J.J. Russell (concussion) are both on IR.

Limited to open week Simon (knee) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official website reports.

Impact Simon left the team's 40-20 loss to the Texans in Week 15 in the first quarter due to a knee injury, but his ability to participate at practice in any capacity to open the week is a positive sign. The linebacker will have two more chances to log a full session prior to Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Exits with knee injury Simon (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Texans, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Impact Simon appeared to injure his left knee in the first quarter, and he's being evaluated by medical staff to determine whether he can return. Baron Browning and Akeem Davis-Gaither are the top candidates to work with the first-team defense for as long as Simon is sidelined.

Just three tackles vs. LAR Simon posted three tackles (one solo) during the Cardinals' 45-17 loss to the Rams on Sunday.

Impact Simon played every single defensive snap for a fifth consecutive game, though his three tackles were his lowest since Week 9 against the Cowboys (three). The rookie fourth-rounder has started at middle linebacker in each of the Cardinals' last five games, coinciding with the placement of Mack Wilson (ribs) on injured reserve. Simon should continue to serve in an every-down role at linebacker for as long as Wilson remains on IR.

Impact The rookie fourth-rounder was busy in the second start of his NFL career, leading the Cardinals with 12 stops. With Mack Wilson (ribs) placed on injured reserve prior to Sunday's contest, Simon should serve as the Cardinals' starting middle linebacker for at least the next three games and for as long as the former is on IR.

Impact Simon was a limited participant in practice all week following a knee injury sustained in the Week 5 loss to the Titans. The rookie fourth-rounder has been predominantly a special teams player, logging 63 special teams snaps to only three defensive ones. His return also bolsters the linebacker depth of a banged-up corps, with starter Mack Wilson (hamstring) active despite logging limited practice all week.

Impact Simon was limited in practice all week due to a knee injury that he picked up during the Cardinals' Week 5 loss to the Titans. The rookie fourth-rounder has been mostly used on special teams this season, but his return would fortify the Cardinals' linebacker corps that could be without starter Mack Wilson (ankle).
