Lands on IR The Broncos have placed Allen (foot) on their injured reserve, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.

Impact Allen started training camp on the NFI list before passing his physical on July 29. However, he was never able to actually practice and spent the last week working out on the side. His 2022 season will now be over unless both he and the team can come to terms on an injury settlment once his foot is fully recovered.

Impact Allen's stay on the NFI list didn't last long, and he has been cleared to practice with his teammates. The rookie has undergone a long recovery process to get over this foot injury, which sidelined Allen for the entire 2021 season at Alabama.

Impact The foot injury that held Allen out for his entire redshirt senior year will also keep him out for at least the first few days of camp. Once he's ready to go, the rookie out of Alabama will compete for a depth role on the Broncos' front seven behind the terrifying quartet of Randy Gregory, Alex Singleton, Josey Jewell and Bradley Chubb.
