Nursing foot injury Rumph sustained a foot injury in Saturday's 16-3 preseason loss to the Seahawks, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Rumph played 19 snaps (12 on defense, seven on special teams) in Saturday's contest. Rumph is expected to "miss some time," but when he will return to practice remains unclear. The 2021 fourth-rounder out of Duke finished with five tackles (four solo) across six regular-season games for the Chargers in 2023.

The second-year linebacker was filling in for Joey Bosa, who's still out for at least a month with a groin injury, so Los Angeles is going to be extremely thin at outside linebacker against Atlanta.
