Limited snaps to close season Okonkwo was not targeted in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans.

Impact Okonkwo popped up on the injury report Thursday with an abdominal injury and didn't practice at all Friday. While active, he played only three offensive snaps and did not appear on the stat sheet. Even with the sour close to the campaign, Okonkwo emerged late in the season by accruing 38 targets and 28 receptions for 217 yards from Weeks 13-17. With improved quarterback play, Okonkwo could be in line for better results in 2025.

Suiting up for finale Okonkwo is active for Sunday's game against the Texans.

Impact Okonkwo popped up on the injury report in the middle of the week, and there was some concern about his status after he failed to practice Friday. However, he'll be set to suit up and has seen increased involvement in the Tennessee offense to close the season, commanding a combined 28 targets across his last three games. With Tyler Boyd (foot) sidelined, Okonkwo should have a better chance of maintaining his elevated role.

Questionable after Friday 'DNP' Okonkwo (abdomen) is listed as questionable for Sunday's season finale against the Texans after not practicing Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Impact Okonkwo was added to the Titans' Week 18 injury report after logging a limited practice Thursday, and in the wake of being deemed a non-participant Friday, he'll head into the weekend with a 'questionable' designation. If Okonkwo is limited at all or ruled out for the team's 1:00 ET kickoff, Nick Vannett, Josh Whyle and David Martin-Robinson would be in line to handle added tight end reps in Week 18.

Impact Tennessee didn't include Okonkwo on its initial Week 18 injury report, so his abdominal injury may have been something that cropped up late in Wednesday's practice or during Thursday's session. The Titans will wait and see what Okonkwo is able to do in their final practice of the week Friday before deciding whether he carries a designation into Sunday's season finale versus the Texans. Though his third NFL season has been a relatively quiet one, Okonkwo has picked up the pace over the last three games, producing a 22-182-0 line on 28 targets while also adding 17 yards on a rushing attempt.

Remains heavily involved Okonkwo recorded five receptions on seven targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Jaguars. He added one rush for 17 yards.

Impact Okonkwo maintained his elevated role in the Tennessee offense and led the team in targets for a third straight game. His longest catch went for 18 yards, but he was otherwise limited to short areas of the field to record his lowest yardage total in that same three-game span. Okonkwo's spike in involvement comes as a surprise given his usage throughout the rest of his career, but he figures to remain involved in a Week 18 matchup against the Texans.

Season-best numbers in loss Okonkwo secured nine of 11 targets for 81 yards in the Titans' 38-30 loss to the Colts on Sunday.

Impact The talented tight end had already recorded six catches in Week 15 against the Bengals after Mason Rudolph entered that game for an ineffective Will Levis, so Sunday's team-high reception, receiving yardage and target totals weren't completely surprising. However, Okonkwo's numbers were still a significant boon for fantasy managers that might have been rolling with him in their playoff matchups with the hopes of an encore performance, and the third-year pro is clearly a viable tight-end option as long as Rudolph is under center.

Surprising spike in involvement Okonkwo recorded eight catches on 10 targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Bengals.

Impact Okonkwo was only on the field for 60 percent of offensive snaps, but he was peppered with targets by both Will Levis and Mason Rudolph. As a result, he saw a career-best 10 targets and managed to reach 50 receiving yards for the third time this season. Though this was an outlier performance, Okonkwo has earned at least four targets in three straight games and in seven of his last nine contests.

Impact Okonkwo remained Tennessee's primary tight end, as he was on the field for 73 percent of offensive snaps while finishing tied for second on the team with four targets. He caught a 10-yard pass early in the second quarter but otherwise failed to make an impact on the game. Okonkwo now has 20 or fewer receiving yards in nine of 13 games on the campaign.

Impact Okonkwo wasn't targeted for the first 50 minutes of game time, but he found open space after a short catch and out-ran the Texans' secondary for a 70-yard game-winning touchdown. That marked Okonwo's first touchdown since Week 1 and is only the second time he's reached 50 yards in a game on the campaign.

Impact Okonkwo commanded at least four targets for the fourth time in his last five games. He made a limited impact in Sunday's loss, particularly because both of his receptions came on Tennessee's opening drive. Okonkwo has now recorded fewer than 20 receiving yards in eight of 10 games on the campaign.

Okonkwo also dropped a pass in the end zone that resulted in a pick, but his involvement in the offense still has ticked up with Mason Rudolph under center, as he's commanded at least four targets in all three of his starts.

Impact Okonkwo has been on the field for at least 55 percent of offensive snaps in four of six games this season, and he had his best game of the season in Sunday's loss while displaying rapport with Mason Rudolph. He accounted for the team's longest play from scrimmage with a 26-yard catch late in the first quarter to account for the majority of his production. If Rudolph remains under center in Week 8 against the Lions, Okonkwo could benefit again, though he had yet to top 16 yards in a game entering Sunday's contest.
