GAME LOG

INJURIES

Limited to begin Week 4 Washington (concussion) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.
Impact Washington has been in the NFL's five-step concussion protocol since shortly after Atlanta's season-opening loss to Tampa Bay. He was able to log a trio of limited practice sessions last week and was limited again Wednesday, but he won't be able to return to game action until he clears protocol. Journeyman wideout David Sills logged 38 percent of the Falcons' offensive snaps in Week 3 to help cover for Washington's absence.

Won't play Sunday Washington (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Panthers.
Impact Despite practicing in a limited fashion throughout the week, Washington was unable to clear concussion protocol in time for Sunday's divisional matchup. While the 24-year-old is sidelined in Week 3, KhaDarel Hodge could play increased snaps as a depth piece in the Falcons' wide receiver corps.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Remains limited Thursday Washington (concussion) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
Impact Washington remains in the league's concussion protocol, and he'll likely need to log a full practice Friday if he's going to have any chance of playing Sunday against the Panthers.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Gets in limited practice Washington (concussion) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Impact Washington missed last Sunday night's win over the Vikings with the concussion, but his limited start to the practice week suggests he has a chance to play Week 3 versus Carolina. With Drake London, Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud healthy, Washington is unlikely to have much of a role on offense against the Panthers if he's cleared to play.
SEPTEMBER 17, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Missing Week 2 due to concussion Washington (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact Washington didn't clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in time to have a chance to play Sunday. His next chance to see game action will come Week 3 against the Panthers. Barring an addition from the practice squad, Ray-Ray McCloud and KhaDarel Hodge will round out Atlanta's wide receiver depth chart Sunday behind Drake London and Darnell Mooney, both of whom were cleared of their respective shoulder injuries on Friday's injury report.
SEPTEMBER 12, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Another DNP on Thursday Washington (concussion) remained sidelined in practice Thursday, Tori McElhanney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Impact Washington would need to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol to have a chance to suit up Sunday night against the Vikings, so he will need to raise his practice participation level Friday to have any chance of playing. Fellow wide receivers Drake London and Darnell Mooney both remained limited Thursday due to their respective shoulder injuries. Even if Washington clears concussion protocol, his role on offense would likely be minimal if London and Mooney both gain clearance to play Sunday.

DNP due to concussion Washington (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Impact Washington is in the concussion protocol following an impressive Week 1 showing, in which he secured three of six targets for 33 yards during Atlanta's 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers while playing 94 percent of offensive snaps. If the second-year pro is able to gain full clearance from the concussion protocol in time to suit up Sunday night against the Vikings, he may again benefit from an increased target share, as Drake London (shoulder) and Darnell Mooney (shoulder) were both limited Wednesday.

Falcons' Casey Washington ready to step up at wide receiver The Falcons believe second-year wide receiver Casey Washington, who was one of the stars of training camp, has a high ceiling.

Sees six targets in opener Washington caught three of six targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers.
Impact Darnell Mooney (shoulder) was inactive, plus Drake London (shoulder) and Jamal Agnew (groin) both suffered injuries during the opener. London's injury came during Atlanta's final drive, while Agnew didn't see any offensive snaps before exiting, so the in-game injuries didn't boost Washington's role. However, Mooney's absence likely meant more action for Washington. He started opposite London, played 94 percent of the team's offensive snaps and finished fourth on the team in targets behind London (15), Kyle Pitts (8) and Bijan Robinson (7). Ray-Ray McCloud is Atlanta's primary slot WR, so Washington would be the No. 4 WR if London and Mooney are healthy for Week 2.

Makes team out of camp Washington made the Falcons' initial 53-man roster Tuesday.
Impact The 2024 sixth-round pick appeared in eight games with the Falcons as a rookie, securing one catch on two targets for 14 yards across nine offensive snaps. The Falcons opted to keep seven wideouts on the initial 53-man roster, likely as insurance for Darnell Mooney (shoulder) and Jamal Agnew (oblique). Given the injuries, Washington may see a few snaps behind Drake London, Ray-Ray McCloud and KhaDarel Hodge during Week 1.

Healthy scratch for Week 17 Washington (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Impact Washington had missed the Falcons' last three games due to a concussion. He was able to clear the league's five-step concussion protocols, but he will be a healthy inactive for Sunday night's game. Washington's next opportunity to play will be in Week 18 against the Panthers.
DECEMBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Cleared to play Week 17 Washington (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Commanders.
Impact Washington missed Atlanta's previous three contests with the brain injury. If active against the Commanders, Washington will likely mainly see action on special teams. He's played just nine offensive snaps all season, recording one catch for 14 yards.

Out again vs. Giants Washington (concussion) is out for Sunday's outing against the Giants, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact Washington will log his third straight inactive game as the Falcons take on the Giants at home. The rookie wide receiver's next chance to see the field will be in Week 17 against the Commanders, though he'll likely be a special teams contributor if he sees the field then.

Out again Week 15 Washington (concussion) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Raiders, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Washington suffered a concussion Week 11 against Denver, but he was able to play Week 13 following Atlanta's Week 12 bye. However, the rookie wideout was a late scratch Week 14 due to lingering concussion symptoms, and he didn't practice at all this week. When healthy, Washington has mostly played on special teams, logging just nine offensive snaps over eight contests.
