Impact Lewis contributed on special teams during the first three games of the season, but the Bills are now in need of an extra roster spot to facilitate the expected return of Josh Norman (hamstring) from IR.

Promoted to active roster Lewis was elevated to the Bills' active roster Saturday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Josh Norman (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, so this could be more than a temporary stay for Lewis. However, the 23-year-old will likely stick to a special-teams role after not playing a snap during the 2019 season.
