Impressive in camp Sterns has impressed teammates and coaches alike by almost always being in the right place, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports. Impact Sterns' consistency and playmaking ability are catching the attention of the Broncos organization early in camp. When asked about the safety's progress thus far, Coach Vic Fangio said, "He's done a good job of picking up our defense, learning it and being able to graduate from level one to level two and level three." This is high praise for the 21-year-old University of Texas product as he competes for the No. 3 safety spot behind veterans Kareem Jackson and Justin Simmons. Sterns will look to translate his quick learning into on-field success when the rookie gets his first taste of live-game action against the Vikings on Saturday.
