Impact Hill was repeatedly referred to as one of the breakouts of Falcons training camp this summer, but he mustered only 10 combined offensive touches for 45 scrimmage yards Weeks 1 and 2. The 24-year-old was clearly more integral to the game plan this time around, as Hill's 10 touches marked his highest total since he last started at running back Week 12 of last season. Additionally, the fact that Ito Smith and Qadree Ollison were both active against Chicago indicates that Hill's increased usage may be a recurring trend going forward. Atlanta's Week 4 opponent, Green Bay, entered Sunday tied for the fourth-most rushing TDs allowed to opposing running backs (three), meaning that Hill has a reasonable chance of reaching the end zone for a second straight game.

Logs five touches against Cowboys Hill collected 14 rushing yards on three carries while also hauling in both of his targets for 11 receiving yards during Sunday's 40-39 loss to Dallas.

Impact The 24-year-old back has garnered five offensive touches in each of Atlanta's first two outings of the year, a workload similar to his 2019 average of 6.5 touches per game. Todd Gurley soaked up 72.4 percent of Falcons running back carries against the Cowboys, while Ito Smith earned five carries of his own, limiting Hill to a bit role in the offensive operation. He will continue to be a complementary piece in the Atlanta backfield, but Gurley remains the unquestioned No. 1 heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Bears' 11th-ranked rush defense.

Even in a more closely-contested game, however, it appears Todd Gurley may have dominated the workload, as he handled nearly 78 percent of the running back carries Sunday. Hill will continue to slot into a complementary role Week 2 when the Falcons take on a Dallas defense that ranked as a top-10 unit against the run during 2019.

Roster spot all but assured Coach Dan Quinn said Tuesday that Hill is "definitely going to be a contributor" for Atlanta this season, William McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.

Impact Hill averaged 6.5 offensive touches per game across 12 appearances during his third season in Atlanta in 2019, but he may have earned himself a larger role heading into the upcoming season based on his star turn in training camp thus far. Quinn already identified Hill as "a man on a mission" this summer, noting the vast strides the 24-year-old back has made to his skill set during the offseason. Most pertinent for fantasy purposes, Hill has reportedly become a more competent pass catcher out of the backfield after managing just 69 receiving yards in 2019.

Impact Hill may have only handled 88 total offensive touches during 2019, but he did cash in with three touchdowns. His 4.1 yards-per-carry average, meanwhile, was significantly better than that of Devonta Freeman (3.6), albeit on a limited sample size of 78 rush attempts. Hill failed to rise to the occasion between Weeks 11 and 12 when he was granted the first two starts of his NFL career, as he managed only 44 rushing yards on 24 attempts. Despite the disappointing starting debut, he remains a competent backup for a Falcons rushing attack that is looking to improve upon a woeful 30th-place finish in yards per game (85.1).
