NFL Super Wild Card Weekend odds: Buccaneers cover against Cowboys, best bets

Find out why Geoff Schwartz likes the Buccaneers to cover against the Cowboys, and other best bets for NFL Super Wild Card Weekend.

NFL Super Wild Card Weekend odds: Buccaneers cover against Cowboys, best bets
Justice Hill - Gets expanded role Week 18 Hill carried seven times for 34 yards in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Bengals.
Impact The seven carries more than doubled Hill's output (three) from the Ravens' previous six games combined. Hill had moved almost exclusively into a full-time special-teams role after J.K. Dobbins returned from injured reserve Week 14, but Hill as well as Kenyan Drake were able to reclaim roles on offense in the regular-season finale while Dobbins was inactive for maintenance purposes. Hill and Drake then finished the afternoon as the Ravens' lone healthy backs, as fill-in starter Gus Edwards exited early with a concussion. Even if Edwards is unable to clear the concussion protocol prior to Sunday's rematch with the Bengals in the wild-card round, neither Hill nor Drake projects to retain the roles they enjoyed Week 18 with Dobbins set to return to the lineup while reclaiming duties as the Ravens' clear lead back. Hill finished the regular season with 49 carries for 262 yards to go with 12 catches for 58 yards over his 15 appearances.

Patrick Ricard - No touches in Week 18 Ricard didn't record a carry and didn't draw a target while playing 38 of the Ravens' 75 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Bengals.
Impact Despite playing more than half the snaps on offense in each of the Ravens' final three regular-season games, Ricard failed to receive a touch on offense. He finished the 2022 campaign with seven carries for 16 yards to go along with 11 catches for 74 yards on 13 targets, with most of his production coming when quarterback Lamar Jackson was in the lineup before missing the final five games with a knee injury. Ricard should continue to see plenty of snaps in Sunday's rematch with the Bengals in the wild-card round, but if his usage in recent weeks is any indication, he'll deployed almost exclusively as a blocker.
JANUARY 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Josh Oliver - Little involvement in Week 18 Oliver played 32 of the Ravens' 75 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Bengals and failed to corral his lone target.
Impact Though the Ravens played the regular-season finale without top tight end Mark Andrews -- who sat out for rest purposes -- Oliver wasn't a major beneficiary. Oliver's 43 percent snap share actually took a step back from his 60 percent mark against the Steelers one week earlier, as Isaiah Likely (88 percent, 8-103-0 receiving line on 13 targets) and Charlie Kolar (44 percent, 4-49-0 on six targets) instead took advantage of Andrews' absence. Because the Ravens value Oliver's blocking skills and ability to contribute on special teams, he's still likely to be active for Sunday's rematch with the Bengals in the wild-card round.
JANUARY 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Charlie Kolar - Looks good in first extended action Kolar played 33 of the Ravens' 75 snaps on offense and finished with four catches for 49 yards on six targets in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Bengals.
Impact After playing just two snaps in his NFL debut in the Ravens' Week 17 loss to the Bengals, Kolar was thrust into a more prominent role in the regular-season finale while top tight end Mark Andrews sat out for rest purposes. Though Isaiah Likely started and stepped in as the Ravens' top option in the passing game (eight catches for 103 yards on 13 targets), Kolar out-produced every other Baltimore pass catcher aside from receiver Sammy Watkins (two catches for 79 yards). While the rookie fourth-round pick out of Iowa State was able to end the regular season on a high note, he'll likely see a steep decline in snaps and could even be a healthy inactive for Sunday's wild-card rematch with the Bengals with Andrews set to return to the lineup.
JANUARY 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Tylan Wallace - Records reception in return Wallace played 19 of the Ravens' 75 offensive snaps in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Bengals and reeled in his lone target for a 12-yard gain.
Impact After being activated from injured reserve ahead of the Week 18 contest, Wallace suited up Sunday and made his first appearance for the Ravens since Nov. 27 following a month-long absence due to a hamstring strain. He stepped in as Baltimore's No. 4 receiver, trailing all of Demarcus Robinson (47 snaps), Sammy Watkins (37) and James Proche (32) in playing time. Now that he's further removed from the hamstring injury, Wallace may have a chance to supplant Proche for the No. 3 role in Sunday's rematch with the Bengals in the wild-card round, though neither wideout represents an appealing fantasy option while being tied to a run-heavy Ravens offense that failed to clear 20 points in any of its final six regular-season contests.
JANUARY 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
James Proche II - Fails to capitalize on extra snaps Proche played 32 of the Ravens' 75 snaps on offense and finished with zero catches on three targets in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Bengals.
Impact With the Ravens waiving DeSean Jackson ahead of the Week 18 contest, Proche stepped into a top-three role at receiver for the regular-season finale alongside Demarcus Robinson and Sammy Watkins. Despite playing double-digit snaps for the first time since Week 13, Proche couldn't forge a connection with third-string quarterback Anthony Brown, who was making his first NFL start with Lamar Jackson (knee) and Tyler Huntley (shoulder) sidelined. Proche could continue to serve as the Ravens' No. 3 receiver ahead of Tylan Wallace in Sunday's rematch with the Bengals in the wild-card round of the playoffs, but none of the Baltimore pass catchers profile as especially strong fantasy options this weekend aside from standout tight end Mark Andrews. Proche finished the regular season with eight catches for 62 yards on 17 targets across 15 appearances.
JANUARY 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Sammy Watkins - Draws four targets in Week 18 Watkins finished with two catches for 79 yards on four targets in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Bengals.
Impact Making his third appearance for the Ravens since being claimed off waivers from the Packers, Watkins made a couple of splash plays and finished the regular-season finale as the team's second-leading receiver behind tight end Isaiah Likely (eight catches for 103 yards). Watkins played 37 of the Ravens' 75 snaps on offense (49 percent) and appears poised to retain a top-three role in the wideout corps in this Sunday's rematch with the Bengals in the wild-card round.

Tyler Huntley - Limited practice Wednesday Huntley (shoulder/wrist) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
Impact According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com, Huntley -- who is dealing with tendinitis in his right shoulder -- didn't throw during the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice, while fellow quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) was also sidelined. With Jackson trending toward missing Sunday's wild-card game against the Bengals and Huntley no lock to be ready this weekend, it's possible undrafted rookie Anthony Brown could draw his second straight start for the Ravens in the team's playoff opener.

Gus Edwards - Not practicing Edwards (concussion) isn't practicing Wednesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Impact Edwards suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Bengals and now is in danger of missing a wild-card round matchup with the same team seven days later. The Ravens may also be missing quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) and perhaps even backup Tyler Huntley (shoulder), potentially setting up J.K. Dobbins to be the focal point of an undermanned offense.
JANUARY 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Tyler Huntley - Not throwing at practice Huntley (shoulder) is on the field for Wednesday's practice but doesn't appear to be throwing, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Impact Huntley was held out of the Week 18 loss to the Bengals and may be in danger of missing Sunday's rematch with Cincinnati in the wild-card round of the playoffs. Lamar Jackson, meanwhile, is absent from practice for a sixth straight week due to a PCL injury. Anthony Brown and Brett Hundley are Baltimore's healthy options at quarterback.
JANUARY 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Lamar Jackson - Not at practice Jackson (knee) isn't practicing Wednesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Impact Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported earlier Wednesday that Jackson is facing an uphill battle to play in Sunday's wild-card game against the Bengals, and the quarterback's continued absence from practice would seem to support as much. Since suffering a PCL sprain Dec. 4, Jackson doesn't appear to be progressing as the team had hoped, and he now has only two more chances to practice before the Ravens' playoff opener. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley sat out Week 18 with a shoulder injury and was limited to non-throwing work during the open portion of Wednesday's practice, leaving Anthony Brown and practice squad member Brett Hundley as the Ravens' healthy quarterbacks for the moment.

Ravens say Stephens fell ill, went to hospital last weekend

The Baltimore Ravens say cornerback Brandon Stephens became “acutely ill” at the team hotel before Sunday’s game at Cincinnati and was taken to a hospital for evaluation
JANUARY 11, 2023 • Associated Press
Brandon Stephens - Back with team after illness Stephens (illness) has returned to Baltimore after being transported to a Cincinnati hospital Sunday.
Impact Stephens became acutely ill ahead of the Ravens' Week 18 matchup with the Bengals and was forced to remain in Cincinnati for a couple days to receive treatment. The specific details surrounding his condition have not been released, but the cornerback is now back with the team and his status is worth monitoring for Sunday's rematch against the Bengals in the wild-card round.

Lamar Jackson - Appears unlikely to play Sunday Jackson (knee) faces an "uphill battle" to play in Sunday's wild-card game in Cincinnati, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garofolo of NFL Network report.
Impact Though Adam Schefter of ESPN reported over the weekend that Jackson had a "strong chance" to be available for the Ravens' postseason opener, Rapoport notes that optimism about the quarterback's ability to play Sunday has begun to dwindle over the past 24 hours. Jackson, who hasn't practiced since suffering a PCL sprain on his left knee Dec. 4 against the Broncos, missed the Ravens' final five games of the regular season. While Jackson is reportedly working hard to rehab the knee, he apparently hasn't made enough progress to put himself in position to resume practicing Wednesday. If Jackson remains a spectator in practice throughout the week, he'll likely be officially ruled out for the wild-card round Friday, which would then set the stage for Tyler Huntley (shoulder/wrist) to direct the Baltimore offense.
JANUARY 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Josh Ross - Remains on IR Ross (foot) will remain on the Ravens' injured reserve entering the playoffs, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact Ross was designated for return off the IR on Dec. 20, which opened a 21-day window for him to practice with the team. However, he will not be activated ahead of the playoffs, so he will now head back to the IR and is no longer able to practice. He has not played since suffering a foot injury back in Week 2 versus Miami.
JANUARY 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Demarcus Robinson - Underwhelming performance in loss Robinson caught two of nine targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Bengals.
Impact Robinson saw more playing time than any other Ravens wideout, playing 49 of Baltimore's 78 offensive snaps. The 28-year-old was a popular pickup off the waiver wire after he caught nine balls for 128 yards Week 11 against Carolina, but he followed that up with an unremarkable 23-178-1 receiving line on 37 targets over Baltimore's final seven games of the regular season. With Rashod Bateman (foot) and Devin Duvernay (foot) on injured reserve and with DeSean Jackson having been released ahead of Week 18, Robinson looks as though he'll head into Sunday's wild-card game in Baltimore as the nominal No. 1 wideout, but that designation doesn't mean much for fantasy purposes. The Baltimore offense is expected to remain a run-heavy one regardless of whether Lamar Jackson (knee), Tyler Huntley (shoulder) or Anthony Brown starts at quarterback this weekend, and tight end Mark Andrews will be the top option in the pass game when the Ravens do choose to pass.
JANUARY 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Justin Tucker - Perfect in Week 18 Tucker made all three of his field-goal attempts as well as his only extra-point try in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Bengals.
Impact Tucker's field goals all came during the second half, converting from 26, 51 and 27 yards. En route to his sixth Pro Bowl selection, Tucker made 37 of 43 field-goal attempts and 31 of 32 extra-point tries this season, with his 142 total points ranking second league-wide at his position.
