Non-participant in practice Brown (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report.
Impact As expected, Brown wouldn't have practiced if the Bucs had held a session. He's expected to remain a spectator in practices Thursday and Friday, but the Buccaneers are hoping the wide receiver will be healthy enough to play Feb. 7 in Super Bowl LV versus the Chiefs. If he's unable to go, Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson would be in line for additional targets behind starters Mike Evans (knee) and Chris Godwin (elbow).

Unlikely to practice this week Coach Bruce Arians said Wednesday that he doesn't expect Brown (knee) to practice this week, NFL.com reports.
Impact The Bucs still plan on Brown returning for the Super Bowl LV matchup with the Chiefs on Feb. 7 after he missed the NFC Championship Game victory over the Packers. He's expected to get back on the practice field next week, and if all goes well, Brown would unseat Scotty Miller as the team's No. 3 wideout in the Super Bowl.

Won't face Packers Brown (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's NFC Championship Game at Green Bay, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Coach Bruce Arians indicated Thursday that the veteran wideout was expected to be a game-time decision, but he hadn't progressed as the team hoped when evaluated Friday morning, per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Brown won't travel with the team, and the Buccaneers will need to advance to the Super Bowl for him to have a chance of seeing the field again this season. Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson should see increased opportunities for the Buccaneers against the Packers.

No practice activity Wednesday The Buccaneers listed Brown (knee) as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report.
Impact Head coach Bruce Arians labeled Brown as day-to-day after an MRI revealed no major damage to his knee, but the wideout will likely need to practice in some fashion to play in Sunday's NFC Championship Game in Green Bay. The Buccaneers have thus far been unwilling to make a prediction on Brown's status for that game, with Arians relaying to Jenna Laine of ESPN.com on Wednesday that "it's too early to tell" if the receiver will play. Added context on Brown's status will arrive no later than Thursday, when the Buccaneers complete their second practice of the week.
JANUARY 20, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Not seen at practice Brown (knee) wasn't participating during the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Brown injured his knee in Sunday's divisional-round win over the Buccaneers and had an MRI on Monday. The Buccaneers reportedly consider him day-to-day, hoping he'll be available for the NFC Championship Game in Green Bay this weekend. It's possible the wideout could play without practicing, but it would still be nice to see some level of participation by the end of the week.
