INJURIES

Quiet again Firkser recorded one reception on one target for nine yards in Sunday's 27-3 win over Kansas City.
Impact Firkser struggled to gain a role in the offense and recorded only one target for the second consecutive game. It's unclear what has changed to minimize Firkser's involvement, but MyCole Pruitt has taken over a bigger role as a pass catcher in recent weeks. For the season, Firkser has only 11 receptions for 95 yards across five games.

Limited to one target Firkser recorded one reception on one target for 11 yards in Monday's 34-31 win over Buffalo.
Impact Firkser recorded the Titans' first catch of the game, so it appeared as if he may be heavily involved in the offensive game plan. However, that turned out to not be the case, even without Julio Jones (hamstring) sidelined for a significant portion of the game. Firkser had recorded at least three receptions in each of his last three contests.

Effective on four targets Firkser caught three of four targets for 33 yards against Jacksonville on Sunday.
Impact Firkser helped the Titans move the chains as Julio Jones (hamstring) sat again, and by now he's all but proven his ability to provide the Titans with a reliable possession target in the middle of the field. He should be able to maintain his usage rate to this point -- 13 targets in three games -- though he might be hard-pressed to do any better than that, especially when Jones eventually returns. The Titans face Buffalo in Week 6.

Five targets in return Firkser recorded three receptions on five targets for 23 yards in a Week 4 loss to the Jets.
Impact Firkser returned after missing the last two games with a knee issue. He was on the field for exactly half of the Titans' offensive snaps but finished fifth on the team in targets. Though Firkser has shown glimpses of his ability as a receiver over the last two seasons, he has only 42 yards on six receptions through his first two contests in 2021.

Returns to full practice Firkser (knee) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Firkser managed only three catches for 19 yards in Week 1, but he could have a larger role after his two-game absence, with star wideouts Julio Jones (leg) and A.J. Brown (hamstring) looking uncertain for Sunday's game agains the Jets. That said, the Titans could respond to the injuries with more run plays and heavy formations, which would limit Firkser's snaps even if the pass-catching alternatives are unimpressive. Either way, he'll at least be able to play this week.

Still absent from practice Firkser (knee) wasn't spotted at Thursday's practice and is slated to go down as a non-participant on the Titans' report, John Glennon of BroadwaySportsMedia.com reports.
Impact Even though he was inactive for last week's win over the Seahawks, Firkser has seemingly taken a step back in his recovery from the knee injury. He was able to practice in a limited fashion last Wednesday and Thursday, but he's now sat out each of the Titans' subsequent three sessions. At this stage, Firkser looks unlikely to show enough improvement to suit up this weekend against the Colts, but the Titans will make an official ruling on his status with the release of Friday's injury report. Expect Geoff Swaim and MyCole Pruitt to split work at tight end if Firkser is out for another game.

Misses practice with knee injury Firkser (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Firkser was a limited participant last Wednesday and Thursday before sitting out entirely Friday. He then missed Tennessee's win over Seattle, with his usual snaps split between Geoff Swaim and MyCole Pruitt. The absence Wednesday suggests Firsker could miss another game this Sunday against the Colts.

Inactive Sunday Firkser (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Firkser logged limited work Wednesday and Thursday, but his absence from practice Friday set the stage for Sunday's inactive status. In his absence, added tight end snaps are available for Geoff Swaim, MyCole Pruitt, and perhaps Tommy Hudson, but all three players profile as Week 2 fantasy darts while working in Tennessee's RB/WR-driven attack.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2021 β€’ ROTOWIRE
Questionable after missed practice Firkser (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks after not practicing Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Impact Firkser logged limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday, but his absence from practice Friday clouds his status for Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. If the tight end, who recorded three catches on four targets for 19 yards in the Titans' Week 1 loss to the Cardinals, is limited or out this weekend, added snaps would be available for Geoff Swaim and MyCole Pruitt in the Titans' RB/WR-driven attack.

Limited by knee injury Firkser was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday with a knee injury, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Firkser exited practice early Wednesday, so his status will need to be monitored as Sunday's game against the Seahawks approaches. The tight end logged three catches on four targets for 19 yards in the Titans' season-opening loss to Arizona.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 β€’ ROTOWIRE
Exits practice with possible injury Firkser left practice early Wednesday, likely due to an unspecified injury, John Glennon of BroadwaySportsMedia.com reports.
Impact The tight end may be banged up on the heels of a quiet Week 1 in which he produced three receptions for 19 yards on four targets. Firkser played only 48 percent of offensive snaps, despite being the primary pass-catching tight end for a team that was trailing the Cardinals for multiple scores all afternoon. An absence for Week 2 against Seattle would leave more work for fellow tight ends Geoff Swaim and MyCole Pruitt, though both are blockers more so than pass-catching threats.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 β€’ ROTOWIRE
Limited in Week 1 loss Firkser recorded three receptions on four targets for 19 yards in Sunday's Week 1 loss to Arizona.
Impact As expected, despite being listed second on the team's depth chart, Firkser served as the primary pass-catching tight end for the Titans. However, that didn't translate to much production, as the likes of Chester Rogers, Jeremy McNichols and Derrick Henry either surpassed or equaled Firsker's target total. Despite the disappointing effort, Week 2 could provide Firkser with another solid opportunity to produce as the team will take on Seattle in what could be a high-scoring matchup.
