Activated from COVID list
Mack was activated from the Falcons' reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact
Mack was unable to play in the final two games of the regular season due to landing on the list as well as dealing with a concussion. The 35-year-old may have played his final game with Atlanta in Week 15 as his contract is up in March 2021.

Makes 14 starts in 2020
Mack (concussion), who sat out Atlanta's final two games to close out the regular season, started 14 games in 2020.
Impact
A concussion held the six-time Pro Bowler out Week 16 at Kansas City, while a stint on the reserve/COVID-19 list heading into Week 17 precluded any opportunity of Mack returning for the season finale at Tampa Bay. The 35-year-old center has suited up for 78 of a possible 80 games since joining the Falcons in 2016, but his future in Atlanta remains tentative with his contract set to expire in March.

Ruled out Week 17
Mack (concussion/illness) is slated to miss Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, William McFadden of AtlantaFalcons.com reports.
Impact
Mack, who was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, will miss his second consecutive contest after a concussion held him out of a Week 16 loss to the Chiefs. Matt Hennessy figures to fill in at center during Mack's continued absence.

Pushed to COVID-19 list
Mack (concussIon) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.
Impact
The six-time Pro Bowl center was already coping with a concussion, but now a shift to the reserve list places his Week 17 status in even greater question. Mack couldn't suit up last Sunday during a road loss to the Chiefs, handing the 35-year-old his first game absence since 2014. Third-round rookie Matt Hennessy is slated in as the Falcons' replacement at center if Mack is unavailable to face Tampa Bay on Sunday afternoon.

Submits limited practice session
Mack (concussion) was held to limited participation during Wednesday's practice, Jason Butt of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact
The six-time Pro Bowl center was forced to miss his first game since 2014 last Sunday during a loss to Kansas City, opening the door for third-round rookie Matt Hennessy to make his starting debut. If Mack is unable to clear NFL concussion protocol in time for Sunday's road trip to Tampa Bay, Hennessy would be slated for another start against the Buccaneers' top-ranked rush defense. There's potential the matchup could be the last of Mack's Falcons career, as he becomes an unrestricted free agent in March.

Held out Wednesday
Mack (concussion) was a non-participant during the Falcons' practice session Wednesday, Jason Butt of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact
It's not clear how the six-time Pro Bowler sustained his concussion, as he fielded all 65 of Atlanta's offensive snaps during a 31-27 Week 15 loss to Tampa Bay. Having been entirely unavailable Wednesday, Mack is seemingly in danger of missing his first regular-season action since 2014. Over his other 11 NFL seasons, besides from 2014, the 35-year-old has never missed a game.
