INJURIES
Won't play Sunday
Armah (coach's decision) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact
Armah avoided an injury designation after sitting out the previous two games with a hamstring injury, but he'll end up being a healthy scratch Sunday versus Miami.

Exits game with leg injury
Armah is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Seahawks after sustaining a hamstring injury, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact
Armah has primarily played on special teams and as a lead blocker on offense this season. The Commanders' run game will take a hit if Armah is unable to return to Sunday's game.

Lands deal
Armah signed a reserve/future contract with the Commanders on Tuesday.
Impact
Armah has appeared in five games with the Commanders over the last two seasons, mostly contributing on special teams when he's suited up. The 28-year-old had a consistent role with the Panthers from 2018-2020, but he's failed to gain a similar role since. He'll get another chance to earn one in Washington next season.

Released from IR
Armah (undisclosed) was released from Washington's injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Armah was set to miss the entirety of the 2022 campaign after he landed on the Commanders' injured reserve with an unknown injury last Tuesday. Now, the fullback will be free to join a new squad once he presumably gets healthy heading into the regular season.

Lands on IR
The Commanders placed Armah (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Impact
Barring an injury settlement, Armah will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2022 season. The 2017 sixth-round pick appeared in 11 games last year -- spilt between New Orleans and Washington -- and mostly operated on special teams.

ROTOWIRE
Signs new deal with Washington
Washington signed Armah to a reserve/future contract Tuesday.
Impact
The fullback will return to Washington for another season in 2022 after joining the team partly through the 2021 season. Armah appeared in 11 games this season between the Saints and Washington, operating mostly as a special-teams option.

Rejoins practice squad
Armah reverted to Washington's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Impact
Armah appeared in his second game of the 2021 season in Week 18 against the Giants, finishing with one tackle. He logged one snap on offense and 13 on special teams in the victory.

Bumped up from practice squad
Armah was elevated from Washington's practice squad Saturday.
Impact
Armah has appeared in 10 games this season, but just one with Washington. Starting the season with the Saints, Armah was waived Nov. 30 and signed to Washington's practice squad Dec. 2. Armah will likely provide depth in the backfield and work on special teams Sunday against the Giants.

Back with practice squad
Armah reverted to Washington's practice squad Wednesday.
Impact
Armah was elevated to Washington's active roster for Week 15, as the team was thin on tight end depth. Although Armah didn't see the field, it seems that the full-back has earned the now third-string tight end role with Washington. Expect Armah to get elevated again if John Bates or Ricky Seals-Jones face any injuries.

Gets practice-squad call-up
Washington elevated Armah from its practice squad prior to Tuesday's game against the Eagles.
Impact
Though he's a fullback by trade, Armah took some reps at tight end in practice this week and could serve as the lone depth option at the position Tuesday behind John Bates in the event Ricky Seals-Jones (illness) -- who is listed as questionable -- isn't cleared to play. In nine appearances with the Saints earlier this season, Armah was deployed mostly as a blocker. He logged five carries for 21 yards and scored on a one-yard reception on his lone target across 67 snaps on offense.

Joins Washington practice squad
Armah signed with Washington's practice squad Thursday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact
Armah has longstanding connections with coach Ron Rivera, who was coaching the Panthers when they drafted the fullback in 2017. While he's more of a blocker than a runner, Armah could get an opportunity with the main roster if the injuries to Antonio Gibson (shin) or J.D. McKissic (concussion) keep either running back out of game action.

Joins active roster
Armah was signed to the Saints' active roster Friday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Impact
Armah spent training camp with the Saints, but he was ultimately let go during the final roster cuts. However, he subsequently landed on New Orleans' practice squad and will now get a chance to see the field on the active roster. He will presumably be used primarily for special teams and blocking situations.

Signs with NFC South foe
Armah signed with the Saints on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Impact
Armah played 55 games for the Panthers over the past four seasons. He was mostly used in a blocking role, but he managed to score three touchdowns anyway. This signing likely means that fullback Michael Burton won't return to New Orleans. Burton averaged roughly 14 offensive snaps per game in 2020, so Armah can expect a similar role during his first season in the Big Easy.

Plays all 16 games
Armah finished the 2020 season with six rushes for nine yards and five receptions on nine targets for 18 yards in 16 games.
Impact
Armah once again served as Carolina's fullback, playing all 16 games for a third straight season. Unlike the prior two campaigns, though, Armah wasn't able to find the end zone at all, and he was featured on less than 15 percent of the Panthers' total offensive snaps. As one of the few true fullbacks in the league with experience filling an occasional offensive role, the veteran should garner interest as a free agent this offseason.

Secures only target
Armah hauled in his only target during Sunday's 32-27 loss to the Broncos.
Impact
Armah's lone catch only got back to the line of scrimmage, but it's notable that he did draw a look in the red zone for the first time since Week 6. On a less positive note, the fullback has played just seven combined offensive snaps over the last two weeks. That's his lowest usage over a two-game stretch all season.

Garners one target
Armah failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's win over the Lions.
Impact
The 26-year-old continues to see a handful of snaps per contest, and he averaged less than one touch per game. Armah has five carries for six yards and three catches for nine yards in 11 games this season.
