Nets 10 points with three stocks Edey tallied 10 points (3-3 FG, 4-6 FT), five rebounds, two steals and one block over 16 minutes in Friday's 104-100 preseason win over the Bulls.

Impact Edey also committed three turnovers without handing out a single dime in his limited floor time, and ball security has been a bit of an issue for him. Though it's just an 11-game sample, Edey averaged 2.4 turnovers in 25.8 minutes per game last season. Still, he's an elite rebounder and shot blocker, so if he can stay healthy, Edey could easily be a top-60 player.

More minutes on tap Edey will play in Friday's preseason game against the Bulls and is expected to see an uptick in minutes, Rob Fischer of FanDuel Sports Network Southeast reports.

Impact Edey made his 2026 preseason debut in Wednesday's loss to Orlando, posting two points, four rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block in 10 minutes. He underwent surgeries on his left elbow and ankle in March, and the big man will likely continue ramping up his workload ahead of the regular season.

Will play Wednesday Edey (ankle) will play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Magic, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports.

Impact Although he'll play limited minutes Wednesday, it appears Edey has made swift progress in his recovery from elbow and ankle surgeries after the Grizzlies initially had Opening Night as the big man's target for a return. Fantasy managers should feel a bit better about drafting Edey at his ADP now that he's healthy.

Ruled out Monday Edey (ankle) completed a full on-court workout Monday but won't play in the Grizzlies' preseason game against the Hawks, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.

Impact As expected, Edey will be held out of the Grizzlies' preseason opener, and it's not yet clear whether he'll suit up at all during the preseason. However, the big man is trending toward playing Opening Night after undergoing surgeries on his left elbow and ankle in March.

Not starting Monday Edey is not in the starting lineup for Monday's preseason game against the Hawks, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Impact Edey is not expected to play in Monday's exhibition, and it's unclear if he'll suit up at all for the preseason, but he is expected to be ready for opening night. Edey was active at training camp, participating in all practices and 5-on-5 work, and he's reportedly moving around better than ever.
