New York Knicks guard Tyler Kolek is finally getting the mainstream recognition fans believe he deserves.

Recalled by Knicks
New York recalled Kolek from the G League's Westchester Knicks on Saturday.
Impact
Kolek played 37 minutes during Westchester's 122-114 win over the Cleveland Charge on Saturday, finishing with 19 points (6-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 13 assists, one rebound and one steal. The second-year pro will be available for NBA action against the Rockets on Saturday.

Increased role Friday
Kolek totaled five points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and two steals across 20 minutes during Friday's 118-80 loss to the Pistons.
Impact
Kolek saw a handful of extra minutes, closing the game as New York was getting blown out by Detroit. Despite some flashes of upside this season, Kolek continues to serve as a depth piece for the Knicks. The arrival of Jose Alvarado could complicate matters even more for Kolek, limiting his fantasy appeal to dynasty formats and very deep redraft leagues.

Dishes out 10 assists
Kolek recorded five points (2-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt), 10 assists and one rebound in 20 minutes Wednesday in the Knicks' 119-92 win over the Raptors.
Impact
With just two garbage-time appearances over the Knicks' preceding four games, Kolek had been outside of head coach Mike Brown's rotation of late, but the second-year player resurfaced on the second unit while Miles McBride (ankle) rested for the second leg of a back-to-back set. Starting point guard Jalen Brunson (30 minutes) also had his playing time suppressed a bit while he fought though an illness, which cleared to way for Kolek to see more run than anticipated. Though Kolek came through with a team-leading assist total and committed just three turnovers on the night, he's still likely to drop out of the rotation Friday against the Trail Blazers with the expectation that McBride returns to action.

Knicks' Tyler Kolek stance is becoming clearer ahead of the trade deadline
The Knicks are getting healthy at the right time to bounce back from a major slump. Will Tyler Kolek lose his rotation spot again?

Only three minutes in loss
Kolek finished with two points (1-3 FG) over three minutes during Monday's 114-97 loss to the Mavericks.
Impact
Kolek's role basically evaporated in the loss, logging fewer than five minutes for the first time in his past 28 appearances. While we have seen brief flashes throughout the season, it appears as though Kolek is going to be limited moving forward, especially if the roster remains healthy. At this point, Kolek only holds value in dynasty formats and very deep redraft leagues.

More minutes coming?
Kolek racked up seven points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists and one steal over 24 minutes during Wednesday's 112-101 loss to the Kings.
Impact
Kolek saw a healthy workload off the bench, as well as Miles McBride with 28 minutes. Jalen Brunson left this game after five minutes with an ankle injury, leaving his status for Thursday's game against the Warriors in the air. If Brunson is not able to go, Kolek would suddenly find himself on the streaming radar.

Drops out of rotation
Kolek (coach's decision) went unused off the bench in Sunday's 123-114 win over the Trail Blazers.
Impact
With the Knicks welcoming Josh Hart (ankle) back from an eight-game absence and feeding him 31 minutes in his return, no playing time was left over for Kolek, who fell out of the rotation for the first time since Nov. 19. Kolek's playing time had already been trending down heading into Sunday, as he played fewer than 20 minutes in each of the previous eight contests and shot a woeful 33.3 percent from the field over that stretch.

Shooting woes in loss
Kolek supplied two points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 10 minutes during Friday's 112-107 loss to Phoenix.
Impact
Kolek struggled from the field Friday and saw his fewest minutes since Dec. 9. The second-year point guard has struggled with efficiency of late, shooting 35.7 percent from the field over his last five games. He'll likely continue to see rotational minutes for now, but he could fall out of favor once Josh Hart (ankle) and Landry Shamet (shoulder) return to action.

Upgraded to available
Kolek (ankle) is available for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
Impact
Kolek is battling right ankle soreness, but he'll unsurprisingly overcome a probable tag Wednesday to suit up. The guard has averaged 9.9 points, 5.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 21.5 minutes per contest in his last seven games, though his playing time may continue to drop now that Miles McBride is back in the mix.

ROTOWIRE
Likely to play against Spurs
Kolek is probable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs with right ankle soreness.
Impact
Kolek played through the issue during Monday's win in New Orleans, and the expectation remains the same for Wednesday. The 12 minutes he saw Monday were his fewest since the Dec. 9 win in Toronto, so it looks like Miles McBride's recent return has a drastic effect on Kolek's playing time.

Suiting up Monday
Kolek (ankle) is available for Monday's game against the Pelicans, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.
Impact
Kolek is managing right ankle soreness, but he's giving it a go Monday. Miles McBride (ankle) is ready to return to the lineup, so Kolek may be in line for a slight decrease in playing time. Across his past six appearances, Kolek has averaged 10.3 points, 5.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 23.1 minutes per game.

Questionable for Monday
Kolek is questionable for Monday's game against the Pelicans with right ankle soreness.
Impact
This is a new injury for Kolek, though it does sound minor. While Kolek is in jeopardy of missing this contest, the Knicks could be getting Miles McBride back from his left ankle sprain -- McBride is listed as probable.
