Signs with Golden State The Warriors signed Burton to an Exhibit 10 deal Sunday.

Impact Burton will join the Warriors for the remainder of the preseason. During the 2025-26 campaign, Burton averaged 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 25.6 minutes per contest across 12 appearances for the Grizzlies. The move likely sets him up to join the Warriors' G League affiliate for the upcoming season.

Deal with Memphis ends Burton became a free agent Thursday after his second 10-day contract with the Grizzlies expired, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

Impact If Memphis is interested in retaining Burton, the team will need to re-sign him to a rest-of-season deal, which would likely be finalized ahead of its next game Friday versus the Raptors. Since signing his initial 10-day deal March 12, the 26-year-old forward has appeared in each of the Grizzlies' ensuing 12 games and has shot 37.5 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from downtown while averaging 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 three-pointers, 1.0 assists and 0.9 steals in 25.5 minutes.

Scores 20 points off bench Monday Burton notched 20 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal across 28 minutes during Monday's 146-107 loss to Atlanta.

Impact Burton posted an impressive performance off the bench in this blowout loss and ended just two rebounds shy of recording what would've been his first double-double of the season. Burton has scored in double digits in his last three appearances off the bench, so he might be a solid player to target as a waiver pickup and streaming alternative down the stretch, especially if the Grizzlies start to rest regulars more and more often. Burton's last three performances have shown promise.

Gets another 10-day deal Burton signed a second 10-day contract with the Grizzlies on Monday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Impact This was a no-brainer for a Memphis team that is struggling with injuries. During his first stint with the club, Burton averaged 8.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers, 0.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks in 25.2 minutes.

Contract expires Burton became a free agent Sunday after his 10-day deal with the Grizzlies expired.

Impact After signing with the team via a hardship exception March 12, Burton was a regular member of the rotation for the Grizzlies' ensuing six games. He appeared in every contest and averaged 8.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers, 0.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks in 25.2 minutes while shooting 30.6 percent from the field and 31.3 percent from downtown. In order for the 26-year-old forward to return to the Grizzlies on a second 10-day deal, the NBA would need to deem the team worthy of another temporary roster spot due to its injury situation.

Explodes for 23 points Burton notched 23 points (7-13 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes during Friday's 117-112 loss to the Celtics.

Impact Burton signed a 10-day contract with the Grizzlies via a hardship exception on March 12, and he certainly made a strong impression in this game -- just when the deal was about to expire. Burton has logged 20-plus minutes in four of his five appearances with the Grizzlies, but this was the first one in which he scored in double digits. It remains to be seen if he'll remain with the team once his current deal expires March 21.

MARCH 12 • ROTOWIRE
