Becomes buried on depth chart Vukcevic (knee) is unlikely to have a significant role to begin the 2026-27 season.

Impact The Wizards didn't have either Anthony Davis or Alex Sarr available late last year, allowing Vukcevic to make a career-high 12 starts. This time around, however, Washington boasts a revamped frontcourt that is not only set to feature Davis and Sarr, but it also includes Deandre Ayton as a new face down low. As a result, Vukcevic is likely to be hard-pressed to squeeze into the Opening Night rotation.

Won't play Sunday Vukcevic (knee) is out for Sunday's game in Cleveland.

Impact Alex Sarr (toe) will join Vukcevic on the inactive list for Sunday's game, and Anthony Gill (back) is questionable, so Julian Reese could be getting all the run he can handle as the last man standing in Washington's frontcourt. Vukcevic will finish his third NBA season with averages of 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 three-pointers per contest.

Out again Friday Vukcevic (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Heat.

Impact Vukcevic will miss a fifth straight game, and his final chance to suit up this season will come Sunday. Julian Reese has been taking advantage of all the injuries in Washington's frontcourt, and that should continue Friday.

With only two contests remaining on the schedule for Washington after Thursday's rematch with Chicago, it appears there's a chance he won't be back on the floor again this season. Out again Tuesday Vukcevic (knee) is out for Tuesday's game against the Bulls.

Game-time call Sunday Vukcevic (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Nets.

Impact Vukcevic sat out of Saturday's matchup with the Heat due to a bruised right knee, but he'll have an opportunity to return for the second half of Washington's back-to-back. Alex Sarr (toe) has already been downgraded to out, so Anthony Gill and Julian Reese would be in line for an uptick in minutes if Vukcevic also can't go.

Makes most of limited minutes Vukcevic logged 17 points (6-7 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 11 minutes during Wednesday's 153-131 loss to the 76ers.

Impact Vukcevic played just 11 minutes despite being in the Wizards' starting lineup and not being in foul trouble. Regardless, he connected on all but one of his field-goal attempts (including all three of his three-point tries) to finished tied with Justin Champagnie as the Wizards' third-leading scorer behind Anthony Gill (21 points) and Will Riley (18 points). Vukcevic has started in each of Washington's last three games and should retain that role for as long as Alex Sarr (toe) is sidelined.

APRIL 2 • ROTOWIRE

Fills in with 14 points Vukcevic amassed 14 points (4-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one block and four steals over 20 minutes during Monday's 120-101 loss to the Lakers.

Impact Alex Sarr's return is imminent, but Vukcevic has been a serviceable replacement during Sarr's recent injury issues. He's expected to remain with the team after signing a new contract last month, and he could find himself as the team's starter if the Wizards decline Sarr's team option for next season.

MARCH 31 • ROTOWIRE

MARCH 27 • ROTOWIRE

Ruled out Wednesday Vukcevic is out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz due to lower-back tightness.

Impact After exiting early during Sunday's loss to the Knicks, Vukcevic continues to deal with the issue and can be deemed day-to-day going forward. His absence leaves the Wizards without a true big man Wednesday, which leaves the team with Anthony Gill and Jamir Watkins to soak up the bulk of the minutes at center.

MARCH 23 • ROTOWIRE

Starting sans Sarr Vukcevic will start Sunday's game against the Knicks.

Impact With Alex Sarr (toe) sidelined, Vukcevic will get the starting nod Sunday. As a starter this season (eight games), the big man has averaged 11.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.9 combined steals-plus-blocks and 1.5 assists in 19.9 minutes per tilt.

MARCH 22 • ROTOWIRE

Strong line off bench Vukcevic racked up 21 points (7-8 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block over 18 minutes during Thursday's 117-95 loss to the Pistons.

Impact Vukcevic was a major bright spot off the bench, though his workload was disappointing. Alex Sarr had a nightmare performance in his return to action, but the Wizards aren't exactly going to punish him for one dud. Vukcevic remains a deep-league asset as long as Sarr is healthy.
