Strikes for 23 in preseason Barnes totaled 23 points (9-15 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and four blocks in 28 minutes during Thursday's 122-120 preseason loss to the Knicks.

Impact Barnes led the charge offensively, proving that he's ready for the 2026-27 campaign to begin. He also played a key role on the opposite end of the court Thursday by recording a team-high four swats. The Raptors play the second half of a back-to-back Friday, though it wouldn't be a surprise if this marks Barnes' final action of the preseason.

Looks sharp in win Barnes produced 19 points (8-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block across 22 minutes in Tuesday's 148-98 preseason victory over New York.

Impact Barnes needed only 10 field-goal attempts to score 19 points, doing nearly all his damage inside the arc. He also filled out the defensive categories with three combined steals and blocks, helping Toronto build a commanding lead before the starters gave way to the reserves.

Posts double-double in preseason win Barnes recorded 12 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds and three assists across 22 minutes in Saturday's 114-106 preseason win over the Clippers.

Impact Barnes secured a double-double despite a relatively modest scoring performance, making just four of his 10 field-goal attempts. He finished with a plus-22 rating, the second-highest among the Raptors' starters, and contributed to a strong first-half performance that saw Toronto establish a 57-45 lead. Barnes' rebounding and playmaking provided value beyond his scoring numbers, and that trend should continue in the regular season, where he should be one of the team's go-to scoring options, presumably operating as the No. 2 scorer behind Kawhi Leonard, who didn't play Saturday due to rest.

Dealing with sore knee Barnes said he injured his knee during the opening minute of Friday's preseason loss to Miami and is still experiencing some soreness, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.

Impact Barnes was able to play through the injury for the remainder of the first half before being held out after halftime as a precaution. He's receiving treatment and doesn't expect the issue to be a concern, while Toronto won't play again until Saturday against the Clippers.

Logs three swipes in preseason loss Barnes recorded 11 points (5-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three steals, two rebounds and two assists across 12 minutes in Saturday's 129-105 preseason loss to the Heat.

Impact Barnes didn't see the floor in the second half but was productive in the first. The star forward was one of four Toronto players to score in double figures, and he finished second on the team in steals. The versatile 25-year-old is expected to handle a larger on-ball role in 2026-27 and is coming off another strong season in 2025-26, during which he averaged 18.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.4 steals in 33.5 minutes per game across 80 regular-season appearances.
