Impact Minix struggled from beyond the arc but managed to reach double figures thanks to a strong showing at the free-throw line. The forward's outside shot has abandoned him in Las Vegas, as he has gone just 1-for-20 from three-point range across four Summer League appearances. Minix made nine regular-season appearances with the Spurs and Cavaliers during the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 3.9 points in 6.4 minutes per contest.

Rare appearance in loss Minix ended Friday's 124-102 loss to the Hawks with four points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) over eight minutes.

Impact Minix appeared for just the eighth time this season, all of which have come during garbage time. Cleveland has very little to play for at this stage, seemingly content with the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. Based on what we have seen throughout the season, Minix is unlikely to feature, outside of blowouts.

Signs two-way pact Minix agreed to a two-way contract with the Cavaliers on Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Impact Minix began the 2025-26 campaign on a two-way deal with the Spurs but was ultimately waived in December. However, he'll latch on with the Cavaliers after spending time with their G League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge. The 25-year-old forward will likely continue to spend most of his time with the Charge, but he'll provide emergency depth for the parent club. Over 23 G League outings between the Charge and the Austin Spurs this season, Minix has averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 steals in 32.3 minutes per tilt.

Waived by Spurs The Spurs are waiving Minix (undisclosed) on Friday, per Michael Scotto of USA Today.

Impact San Antonio is letting go of Minix to free up a two-way roster spot for Kyle Mangas. Minix is dealing with an undisclosed injury, which could affect how much attention he draws in the NBA, but the expectation is that he'll continue to play with the G League's Austin Spurs.

Rare appearance in win Minix finished Monday's 121-103 victory over Toronto with one assist in two minutes.

Impact Minix made just his second appearance of the season, and the third appearance of his career, all of which have come during blowouts. At this stage, it's hard to see Minix playing a consistent role, especially if San Antonio is looking to contend this season.

He appeared in 19 G League outings with the Austin Spurs in the 2024-25 campaign, during which he averaged 19.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.0 steals across 31.6 minutes per game.

Won't play Saturday Minix (undisclosed) will not play in Saturday's Summer League game against the Pistons, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.

Impact Minix will sit Saturday presumably as a matter of simple rest, though his recovery from shoulder surgery likely played a role in this decision. The forward appeared in just one game for the Spurs in the 2024-25 season, pulling down two rebounds in seven minutes.
