Back with Portland for game No. 82 Perry re-signed Saturday with the Trail Blazers on a rest-of-season contract via the NBA's hardship exception.

Impact Perry's 10-day deal with Portland expired earlier Saturday, but he'll stick with the Trail Blazers for Sunday's season finale against the Jazz with 10 other players on the roster having already been ruled out for the game due to injury. During his week-and-a-half long stint with Portland, Perry has appeared in all six of the team's games during that stretch while averaging 9.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 0.8 assists and 0.7 blocks in 17.2 minutes.

Impact In his seventh game for the Trail Blazers, the second-year big set a new career high for steals while tying his career high in scoring. Perry has become a regular part of the Portland rotation over the last five games, averaging 10.0 points, 5.8 boards, 1.4 steals, 1.0 assists and 0.8 blocks in 17.4 minutes a night as he looks to prove he deserves a spot on the roster next season as well.

Impact Perry has been making the most of his 10-day contract with Portland. In a time when depth has been needed, the second-year forward has totaled 26 points across his two appearances during his current stint with the Trail Blazers. If the Trail Blazers continue to deal with injuries, it wouldn't be surprising to see Perry maintain his production down the stretch.

Impact Perry played only 17 minutes in the loss but was very active during his time on the court with 15 points, six boards and five fouls. This was the second-year forward's first NBA contest since Feb. 4, as he has recently been playing for the G League's Raptors 905. The strong effort Wednesday could lead to more playing time as the regular-season winds down since Portland has little to play for at this point.

With Perry unavailable, Goga Bitadze, Torrey Craig, Oshae Brissett and Terry Taylor could all see 20-plus minutes as Indiana's only available frontcourt options.
