Reclaims backup point guard role Rondo (toe) played 11 minutes and finished with zero points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four assists, two rebounds and one block in Tuesday's 127-124 win over the Pacers. Impact After getting the green light to play following a five-game absence with a sprained toe on his right foot, Rondo immediately stepped back in as the primary backup to starting point guard Darius Garland, resulting in Brandon Goodwin dropping out of the rotation. Though Garland's excellent shooting could make him a fit alongside Rondo in an off-ball role, Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff doesn't seem inclined to pair the two together. If that remains the case, Rondo probably can't be counted on to handle anything more than a 10-to-15-minute role most nights so long as Garland is healthy.
