Out at least two weeks The Knicks announced Saturday that Grimes (kneecap) will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports.
Impact Grimes was removed from Friday's game against Miami due to a right patella subluxation. While he underwent testing Saturday that revealed that he won't require surgery, he's still facing a multi-week absence. He'll rest and take part in physical therapy across the next few weeks before being re-evaluated by the team's medical staff. Cam Reddish should be able to hold down a regular spot in the rotation while Grimes is sidelined.

Impact Starting his second straight game with RJ Barrett (ankle) sidelined, Grimes saw a monster workload and capitalized with his second-highest scoring game of the season. Even before Barrett's injury, the 2021 first-round pick had worked his way into a more consistent role, but on the whole he hasn't been productive enough to warrant holding in most season-long leagues. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on Barrett's status heading into Week 18. If he misses the Knicks' final two games before the break, Grimes could be a reasonable streaming option.
