Impact Dieng was recalled from the Blue last week but will rejoin the G League affiliate for the team's opener Wednesday afternoon. The rookie first-round pick has played 42 minutes between the last two games but converted just one of his seven attempts from the field Monday and none of his four attempts from deep, so he'll likely get some extended run with the G League squad to work on his game.

Assigned to Oklahoma City Blue Dieng has been sent down to the Thunder's G League affiliate Oklahoma City Blue, Brandon Rahbar of DailyThunder.com reports.

Impact Dieng was expected to bounce back and forth between the two rosters as OKC utilizes their G League affiliate heavily in player development and as the Thunder begin to become healthier the timing of this move certainly makes sense. Dieng appeared in each of the Thunder's five regular season games, recording 1.8 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 12.6 minutes per game.

Impact Dieng managed just 13 minutes in the victory, continuing what has been a mediocre start to his career. Truth be told, he was never seen as an immediate part of their rotation and so drafting him should have been out of the question. With that said, he has shown some nice flashes, and when the Thunder shift into lottery ball mode, he could slide into a larger role.
