Impact Lundy was one of four Mavericks reserves to score in double figures, while none of the starters reached that mark. Signed to a training-camp deal, Lundy is competing for a spot on Dallas' roster.

Tobi Lawal - Nets 16 points in preseason loss Lawal logged 16 points (4-6 FG, 8-8 FT), four rebounds, one steal and one block over 23 minutes in Wednesday's 101-97 preseason loss to New Orleans.

Impact Lawal put together a strong offensive effort, shooting efficiently from the field while converting all eight of his free-throw attempts. The rookie second-round pick has fared well in the preseason, scoring in double figures in two of three appearances. However, he's likely to see only limited minutes as a reserve forward during the regular season.

John Poulakidas - Active from deep Wednesday Poulakidas produced 16 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds and one block over 26 minutes in Wednesday's 101-97 preseason loss to New Orleans.

Impact Poulakidas was in a groove from beyond the arc, knocking down a game-high four triples. The Yale product appeared in 13 regular-season games with Dallas last season, averaging 8.8 points and 2.3 rebounds on 42.9 percent shooting from the field and 40.3 percent from three-point range in 19.5 minutes per contest. However, with Poulakidas signed to a two-way contract, he's likely to spend much of the regular season with the G League's Texas Legends.

Jaron Pierre Jr. - Adds 10 points in preseason win Pierre chipped in 10 points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 12 minutes in Wednesday's 101-97 preseason win over Dallas.

Impact Pierre provided a scoring boost off the bench, reaching double figures for the second consecutive game. The rookie second-rounder is a capable scorer after averaging 17.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steals in 34 games at SMU last season, but he may struggle to carve out consistent playing time at the NBA level during the regular season barring injuries.

Derik Queen - Grabs 11 rebounds in preseason win Queen totaled six points (1-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals across 19 minutes in Wednesday's 101-97 preseason win over Dallas.

Impact Queen struggled mightily from the field but was a force on the glass, hauling in a game-high 11 rebounds. The 21-year-old has grabbed at least eight rebounds in all three of his preseason appearances. With Zion Williamson and Yves Missi expected to occupy the starting frontcourt spots, health permitting, Queen will likely be relegated to the second unit. However, the Maryland product should still have a sizable role this year after averaging 11.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.0 steals across 81 regular-season games (48 starts) as a rookie in 2025-26.

The 20-year-old has scored in double figures in all three of his preseason appearances after averaging 14.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals across 82 regular-season games (49 starts) as a rookie in 2025-26. How Fears coexists with Dejounte Murray (toe) over a full campaign and how the point-guard duties are divided will be a storyline to monitor as the regular season approaches.

Saddiq Bey - Limited impact in starting role Bey ended with four points (2-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two steals and one rebound across 17 minutes in Wednesday's 101-97 preseason win over Dallas.

Impact Making his first start of the preseason, Bey struggled to make much of an impact outside of recording two steals. The 27-year-old is projected to serve as a top reserve on the wing during the 2026-27 campaign after averaging 17.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists across 72 regular-season games (64 starts) last season.
