Impact Five players in total were suspended as a result of the altercation that was sparked when the Heat's Kevin Love committed a foul on the Pelicans' Zion Williamson. Miami's Jimmy Butler and New Orleans' Naji Marshall proceeded to begin fighting after the Love foul and drew one-game suspension for their actions, while Alvarado and the Heat's Thomas Bryant received three-game bans for leaving the bench and getting involved in the fracas. The Heat's Nikola Jovic was also a handed a one-game suspension for leaving the bench area. Alvarado and Marshall will begin serving their suspensions Sunday versus the Bulls, potentially leaving the Pelicans shorthanded with two starters in Brandon Ingram (illness) and Zion Williamson (foot) already listed as questionable for the contest and with another CJ McCollum (ankle) ruled out. Alvarado is eligible to return to action Friday versus the Pacers.

Impact Murphy earned a spot in the starting lineup for a second time amid Brandon Ingram's (illness) absence. The Virginia product regressed after scoring 13 points as a replacement, and it was his weakest performance as a member of the starting five. Murphy is a consistent contributor with the second unit but is just below the cusp of fantasy viability.

Impact After distinguishing himself as a valuable backup during CJ McCollum's absence earlier in the season, Hawkins fell off the map as a fantasy prospect. Hawkins' 14 points marked his first double-digit total in almost seven weeks, during a stretch where he struggled to see more then 10 minutes on the floor. Unless a serious backcourt injury occurs, a resurgence for Hawkins is unlikely.

Impact Williamson's foot injury didn't appear to be an issue for the All-Star, but his solid effort wasn't enough to turn the tide against the Heat. Williamson was involved in the event that ignited a shoving match after he tangled with Kevin Love, which resulted in an ejection for Jimmy Butler. The melee resulted in a momentum shift for Miami and rode that tide to victory. Despite excellent secondary production, Williamson has only hit the double-double milestone seven times this season.
