JULY 19 • SI.COM

Dallas matches offer sheet The Mavericks matched the Knicks' two-year, $4.7 million deal on restricted free agent Cisse, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Impact The Knicks extended the two-year, $4.7 million deal to Cisse on Saturday, but the Mavs didn't waste any time matching the offer to ensure he remained in Dallas. Cisse averaged 4.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 13.9 minutes per game in his rookie season with the Mavericks, but he'll have a tough time getting into the rotation in Year-2 while Dereck Lively, Daniel Gafford, Santi Aldama and Morez Johnson are healthy.

JULY 18 • SI.COM

Agrees to offer sheet with NYK Cisse agreed to a two-year offer sheet with the Knicks on Saturday, Jake Fischer of BleacherReport.com reports.

Impact After receiving a two-way qualifying offer from the Mavericks earlier in the offseason, Cisse entered restricted free agency and appears to have found a match with the Knicks. In 38 regular-season appearances at the NBA level, the big man averaged 4.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 13.9 minutes per contest. Dallas has 48 hours to match the offer, or Cisse will officially head to New York.

Mavericks' best way to keep key free agent is abundantly clear The Mavericks' roster crunch complicates keeping Moussa Cisse, but one move could make bringing back the breakout big man simple.

JULY 13 • THESMOKINGCUBAN.COM

Extended qualifying offer The Mavericks extended a two-way qualifying offer to Cisse on Monday, Kevin Gray Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.

Impact Cisse is now a two-way restricted free agent and can seek a better deal elsewhere. He appeared in 38 regular-season games (one start) for Dallas last season, during which he averaged 4.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 13.9 minutes per tilt. He also shot 57.4 percent from the field.

Grabs 20 rebounds in season finale Cisse produced 17 points (6-15 FG, 5-6 FT), 20 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals across 41 minutes during Sunday's 149-128 win over the Bulls.

Impact Cisse impressed with a season-ending second double-double. The center position has been a frustrating issue for the Mavericks, who tried to move on after the Anthony Davis debacle with an injury-riddled crew of big men. The undrafted rookie logged several double-digit rebound totals during his tenures with the parent club, and his potential could persuade the Mavericks to thin out the depth at center in the offseason.

Available against Bulls Cisse (two-way) is available for Sunday's game against Chicago.

Impact The Mavericks are running thin for the final regular-season game of the 2025-26 campaign, so Cisse's services will be necessary. The 23-year-old has been in the lineup for Dallas in the last two games, combining for 18 points, 17 rebounds, two steals and four blocks across 41 minutes of action.

Probable versus Chicago Cisse (two-way) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against Chicago.

Impact Cisse has appeared in the Mavericks' last two games, most recently finishing with seven points, eight assists, two steals and three blocks across 19 minutes in Friday's 139-120 loss to San Antonio. With P.J. Washington (elbow) and Daniel Gafford (rest) both doubtful for this contest, Cisse could continue to see action. There's also a chance he will start for the second time during the 2025-26 campaign.

Five defensive stoppers Cisse accumulated seven points (3-5 FG, 1-5 FT), eight rebounds, three blocks and two steals across 19 minutes during Friday's 139-120 loss to San Antonio.

Impact Cisse recorded at least five combined steals and blocks for the second time in his past three games, once again flashing some nice defensive upside. Although his role has been sporadic, Cisse has demonstrated enough to at least keep himself relevant when available. With one game remaining in the season, Cisse makes for a viable streaming option for anyone needing rebounds and blocks.
