Cut by Charlotte The Hornets waived Bolden on Wednesday.

Impact Bolden was set to enter the second season of the two-year, two-way deal he signed in March, but the writing had been on the wall for Charlotte to cut him after the Warriors had listed the journeyman center on their 2024 Summer League roster last week. The 26-year-old will look to impress in the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer Leagues with the hope of earning a contract with the Warriors or another club.

Impact Bolden inked a two-year, two-way contract with the Hornets in March, but has been released and will spend Summer League with the Warriors. Bolden started in each of the Hornets' last two regular season games and averaged 10.0 points. 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks over 30 minutes.

Swats four shots vs. Cleveland Bolden produced 14 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists, four blocks and one steal over 30 minutes during Sunday's 120-110 victory over the Cavaliers.

Impact Bolden got the start for the Hornets' regular-season finale, and he took advantage of the opportunity by recording career highs in points and blocks. He was a DNP for most of the season, but he played in seven of Charlotte's last eight games. Bolden will be with the Hornets for the 2024-25 season after signing a two-year, two-way contract with the team in March of 2024.

Impact Bolden got the start Friday due to the absences of Grant Williams (ankle) and Nick Richards (foot). Bolden saw his heaviest usage of the season Friday, though he only managed to record six points on five field-goal attempts. He could see a similar amount of playing time in the Hornets' regular-season finale Sunday against the Cavaliers.

Impact Bolden signed a 10-day deal with the Hornets on Feb. 20 and made one appearance, totaling one rebound in five minutes, before being waived to make room for Aleksej Pokusevski. However, Bolden will return to Charlotte via a two-way contract and report immediately to the G League's Greensboro Swarm, where he'll presumably spend most of his time. In a corresponding move, the Hornets waived Nathan Mensah.

Impact The Hornets will bring Bolden on the 15-man roster after a productive stretch of action in the G League with the Wisconsin Herd, with whom he's averaged 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks during the team's six-game winning streak. Bolden -- who began the campaign as one of the Bucks' three two-way players but appeared in just two NBA contests -- is averaging 13.3 points (on 55.4 percent shooting from the field), 7.7 boards, 1.6 blocks and 1.5 assists in 25.0 minutes per game over 31 appearances overall for the Herd this season. While he's with Charlotte, Bolden could challenge Nathan Mensah for the third-string role at center behind Nick Richards and Grant Williams.
