Starting in finale
Louzada is starting Sunday's game against the Jazz, Jay Allen of NBC Sports Northwest Rip City Radio 620 reports.
Impact
Louzada will make his first start of the year in Sunday's regular-season finale. He's averaged 5.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game across his last six appearances.

Sticking in rotation
Louzada finished with three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and one rebound across 13 minutes Sunday in the Trail Blazers' 113-92 loss to the Spurs.
Impact
After a prolonged absence while he recovered from the left knee surgery he underwent Feb. 4, Louzada has suited up in three straight games for the Trail Blazers, playing between 11 and 17 minutes in all of those contests. With Portland having already shut down several key players for the season, Louzada should stick in the rotation for Portland's final four contests of 2021-22, though he likely won't see much of an uptick in playing time.

Active Wednesday
Louzada (knee) is available for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Impact
Louzada will suit up as expected after being considered probable for his return from February knee surgery. He appeared in two games for the Pelicans early in the season and will make his debut for the Blazers against his former team.

Probable Wednesday
Louzada (knee) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
Impact
Assuming Louzada takes the floor, it'll be his Blazers debut and just his third appearance of the season, as he's missed time due to a suspension and left knee surgery. That said, he'll presumably be on a minutes limit, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect much.

Could return this season
The Trail Blazers announced Monday that Louzada (knee) is expected to return to action before the end of the regular season.
Impact
The 23-year-old has appeared in only five NBA games since joining the Pelicans late last season, and while it's still very much unclear where he fits into the Trail Blazers' future plans, it looks like they may try to get a look at him over the final two weeks of the regular season. Louzada has been sidelined since undergoing knee surgery on Feb. 4, but he's said to be in the final stages of his recovery. He has yet to debut for Portland, as he was acquired from New Orleans on Feb. 8 in the deal that sent CJ McCollum to the Pelicans.

Dealt to Portland
The Trail Blazers acquired Louzada (knee) on Tuesday along with Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Josh Hart, Tomas Satoransky, a 2022 protected first-round pick and two future second-round...
Impact
As a 23-year-old on a rookie deal, Louzada's developmental timeline theoretically aligns with Portland's rebuilding effort, but that doesn't mean that he's necessarily part of their long-term plans. Since making the jump from Australia to the NBA late in the 2020-21 season, Louzada made only five appearances for the Pelicans. A 25-game suspension earlier in the current season for violating the NBA's anti-drug program may have cost him some playing time, but the defensive-minded wing hadn't been included in the Pelicans' rotation anyway. Shortly after his suspension lapsed, Louzada was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee in late January and has since undergone surgery. Louzada also recently tested positive for COVID-19, but he's since cleared the health and safety protocols and will be able to report to Portland to have his rehab program monitored. Louzada is without an official timeline to return from surgery, but it's possible his absence extends through the remainder of the season.

Undergoes successful surgery
Louzada announced via his personal Twitter on Friday that he underwent successful surgery on his left knee.
Impact
Louzada suffered the injury while playing for the G League's Birmingham Squadron in mid-January. The surgery was likely delayed due to a stint in the NBA's health and safety protocols at the end of January, but he appears to have tested out and should be able to rehab at team facilities. The second-year pro has appeared in just two games at the NBA level this season -- a byproduct of not being a mainstay in coach Willie Green's rotation, along with the fact that he served a 25-game suspension earlier in the campaign for violating the league's anti-drug program. There's no timetable for his return, but the Pelicans may keep him sidelined for the rest of the season.

In protocols
Louzada (knee) was placed in the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols Saturday.
Impact
Louzada will likely remain away from the team for a few days, but his placement in the protocols won't affect his timeline for a return. The second-year guard is considered out indefinitely after suffering a torn medial meniscus in his left knee earlier this month.

Out indefinitely with knee injury
The Pelicans announced Sunday that Louzada is out indefinitely after suffering a torn medial meniscus in his left knee, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Louzada suffered the injury in question while playing for the G League's Birmingham Squadron on Friday. The Pelicans won't have a timeline for Louzada's return until he undergoes surgery, but the team has yet to determine when a procedure might take place. Regardless, Louzada will presumably be sidelined for at least a month, and quite possibly the remainder of the season. The second-year player has appeared in just two games at the NBA level this season, a byproduct of not being a mainstay in head coach Willie Green's rotation along with the fact that he also served as a 25-game suspension earlier in the campaign for violating the league's anti-drug program.
