Landing with Orlando
The Magic and Quinones agreed to a deal Monday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Impact
After spending the 2024-25 campaign with the Pelicans organization, Quinones is headed to Orlando to help provide depth as a swingman. The 24-year-old averaged 21.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game over 41 contests with the Birmingham Squadron and Delaware Blue Coats in the G League last year, and it's possible most of Quinones' playing time in 2025-26 will come with the Osceola Magic while the parent club is healthy.

Being waived by Pelicans
The Pelicans intend to waive Quinones, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Impact
Quinones had initially landed a two-way contract with New Orleans in March and also participated in the Summer League, but he'll now search elsewhere for a home ahead of the 2025-26 season. The 24-year-old swingman averaged 21.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game over 41 outings with the Birmingham Squadron and Delaware Blue Coats in the G League last year, which could give some appeal on the open market prior to training camp this fall.

Unloads 20 points in SL loss
Quinones finished with 20 points (7-12 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 21 minutes in Thursday's 98-91 Summer League loss to the Timberwolves.
Impact
Quinones paced the team in scoring Thursday with an efficient 20 points off the bench. The 24-year-old saw limited NBA action in 2024-25, appearing in just 14 games, but closed the regular season with an extended role, averaging 13.4 points, 4.2 assists and 2.8 rebounds in the Pelicans' final five contests while playing 28.0 minutes per game. With Jordan Poole and Jeremiah Fears joining the backcourt this offseason, Quinones will need to maintain a high level of play this summer to carve out a role in New Orleans.

Strong performance against Thunder
Quinones registered 17 points (5-15 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six assists and five rebounds in 33 minutes during Sunday's 115-100 loss to the Thunder.
Impact
Quinones paced the second unit in scoring during Sunday's loss, while also leading the team in assists. Quinones finished the season strong, logging at least 20 minutes in each of the last five games and averaging 13.4 points, 4.2 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per contest over that stretch.

Logs career highs in loss
Quinones produced 21 points (8-22 FG, 2-11 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six assists, five rebounds and one steal over 32 minutes during Thursday's 136-111 loss to Milwaukee.
Impact
Quinones recorded a career-high mark in points while playing at least 20 minutes for the third consecutive contest. Additionally, the 24-year-old also set a career high in assists. However, the two-way player struggled with efficiency Thursday, and over his last five outings, he has shot 37.5 percent from the field and 30.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Scores 17 points in loss
Quinones produced 17 points (6-10 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and three assists in 25 minutes during Sunday's 111-107 loss to Milwaukee.
Impact
With the Pelicans missing several key players for injuries and maintenance, Quinones saw his first extended look with the team and didn't disappoint with multiple season-high marks. The Pelicans have four games remaining in the regular season and half the roster is on the injury report, making Quinones a streamer to monitor in deeper formats.

Recalled to NBA
New Orleans recalled Quinones from the G League's Birmingham Squadron on Monday.

Inks pact with New Orleans
The Pelicans signed Quinones to a two-way deal Sunday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Impact
Quinones will join the Pelicans on a two-way pact after spending a majority of the 2024-25 campaign with the G League's Birmingham Squadron. The 24-year-old has averaged 22.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.2 steals across 36.1 minutes per game in 32 G League appearances. Quinones could compete for playing time in New Orleans' second unit if injuries arise, though he will likely remain buried behind Jordan Hawkins, Jose Alvarado, Bruce Brown and Brandon Boston (ankle).

Ticketed for free agency
Quinones will become an unrestricted free agent after the Warriors declined Friday to extend him a $2.29 million qualifying offer, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Impact
Quinones had spent the better part of the last two seasons as a two-way player for the Warriors, but Golden State upgraded him to a one-year, standard NBA contract in February. While Quinones was eligible to compete in the postseason as a result of the adjustment to his contract, it put him in line for a bump in pay in 2024-25, and the Warriors apparently weren't willing to keep him around on a $2.29 million salary. Quinones averaged only 4.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.9 three-pointers in 10.6 minutes per game while shooting just 39.7 percent from the field over his 37 appearances for Golden State in 2023-24, but he was a top-notch performer at the G League level the past two seasons and demonstrated impressive positional versatility. Golden State could still look to bring him back on another two-way deal or on a non-guaranteed contract, but Quinones will first canvas the open market and see if he can find a better opportunity elsewhere.

Ties season high off bench in loss
Quinones finished Sunday's 140-88 loss to the Celtics with 17 points (7-16 FG, 3-10 3Pt) and five rebounds over 33 minutes.
Impact
Quinones led all Warriors players in scoring while tying a season-high mark thanks to a team-high trio of threes over a team-leading minute total off the bench. Quinones has connected on three or more threes in three games this season while surpassing the double-digit scoring mark off the bench four times.

ROTOWIRE
Bumped out of rotation Tuesday
Quinones played the final 1:29 of Tuesday's 123-112 win over the Wizards, finishing with one assist during his time on the court.
Impact
Quinones had logged double-digit minutes in 12 of his prior 13 appearances, but he found himself as the odd man out of head coach Steve Kerr's rotation while the Warriors welcomed Chris Paul (hand) back from a 21-game absence. The Warriors still had another spot available in the rotation with Andrew Wiggins (personal) sitting out, but Moses Moody (23 minutes) ended up filling the void rather than Quinones. Wiggins' eventual return will only make Quinones' path to regular minutes more murky, so the second-year player will likely find it difficult to deliver fantasy value even in deeper leagues moving forward.

To get standard contract
The Warriors will convert Quinones' two-way deal into a standard contract, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Impact
Quinones was the 2023 Most Improved Player in the G League, and he's had another standout season with Santa Cruz. He's been more involved with Golden State in recent weeks, averaging 7.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.4 three-pointers in 19.6 minutes in February.

Steps up after Wiggins exits early
Quinones scored a career-high 17 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and added five rebounds over 23 minutes in Saturday's 141-134 overtime loss to the Hawks.
Impact
Quinones logged double-digit minutes off the bench for the third game in a row and ensured the Golden State offense didn't miss a beat even as Andrew Wiggins' night came to an early end due to an ankle injury. Though his emergence of late has resulted in point guard Cory Joseph falling out of the rotation over the past two games, Quinones has primarily been deployed on the wing for Golden State. Quinones will soon face at threat for minutes with Moses Moody (calf) nearing a return to the court, but a potential Wiggins absence could free up playing time for both young players.
