Ends playing career Guy announced his retirement from playing basketball Wednesday and will return to Virginia to serve as a special assistant, Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.
Impact Guy was the most outstanding player for Virginia during the 2019 championship run, but he struggled to make it professionally after being selected by the Knicks in the second round. He made 53 appearances in the NBA -- 34 with Sacramento and 19 with Miami -- but never averaged more than 10 minutes per game in a single season.

Impact Guy had previously signed back-to-back 10-day deals with Miami and was averaging 8.2 points, 2.3 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 17.2 minutes across six appearances. To make room for Guy on the roster, the Heat waived Marcus Garrett (wrist).
