Headed to Brooklyn The Nets signed Hayes to a one-year contract Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Impact Hayes averaged 6.9 points, 4.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 24.0 minutes across 42 regular-season appearances, including 31 starts, for the Pistons in 2023-24. However, the No. 7 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft struggled with his efficiency, posting 41.3/29.7/66.0 shooting splits. Hayes will now have the opportunity to compete for a depth role in Brooklyn's backcourt.
