INJURIES

Won't start versus Atlanta Jakucionis won't start in Sunday's game against Atlanta, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Impact Jakucionis got the start in Friday's 140-117 win over the Wizards. However, with Davion Mitchell (shoulder) returning from his one-game absence, Jakucionis will move back to a reserve role.
APRIL 12 • ROTOWIRE
Takes advantage of spot start Jakucionis notched 16 points (4-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals across 31 minutes during Friday's 140-117 win over Washington.
Impact The Heat rested several players Friday, meaning Jakucionis got another start in the backcourt, and the rookie took full advantage of the opportunity -- he posted his best scoring mark since March 12, when he scored 18 points in a start against the Bucks. The Heat have already locked up a Play-In berth, so it wouldn't be surprising if they rest their regulars Sunday against the Hawks, which could pave the way for Jakucionis to make another start in the final day of the regular season. Jakucionis has posted solid numbers when given the chance, as he's scored in double digits in five of his 12 starts as a rookie this season, and while he's a work in progress, he's shown glimpses of his talent. This game was another example of how he belongs in an NBA rotation on a steady basis.
APRIL 11 • ROTOWIRE
Starting Friday Jakucionis will start Friday's game against the Wizards, per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Impact With Tyler Herro, Norman Powell, and Davion Mitchell all unavailable for Friday's contest, the rookie first-round pick will rejoin the starting five. Jakucionis had recently been squeezed out of Miami's streamlined rotation, but the severely depleted backcourt will force him back into a significant role. The last time Jakucionis drew a spot start with both Herro and Powell sidelined on March 12, he was highly productive, logging 18 points, seven rebounds, and five three-pointers across 35 minutes.
APRIL 10 • ROTOWIRE
Dropped from rotation Monday Jakucionis (coach's decision) went unused off the bench Monday in the Heat's 119-109 win over the 76ers.
Impact Head coach Erik Spoelstra ran out an extremely streamlined nine-man rotation Monday, handing six players at least 30 minutes while playing two others (Simone Fontecchio and Dru Smith) less than 10 minutes. Jakucionis ended up being one of the casualties from the rotation, as Spoelstra turned to Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez and Smith to play point guard when Davion Mitchell was off the floor. While the Heat won't necessarily stick with this rotation configuration moving forward, it's nonetheless an indication that Jakucionis' role could be volatile from game to game. The rookie first-round pick had appeared in each of Miami's previous 22 contests, averaging 8.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 three-pointers in 19.9 minutes while shooting 50 percent from the floor.

Erik Spoelstra's level of trust in Kasparas Jakucionis will soon be revealed Erik Spoelstra's ultimate test of his trust in Kasparas Jakucionis will soon be revealed.
MARCH 27 • ALLUCANHEAT.COM
Plays well in loss Jakucionis had eight points (3-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt), six rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals over 22 minutes during Monday's 136-111 loss to San Antonio.
Impact Jakucionis was a bright spot off the bench for Miami. He's trending up over his last seven games, posting averages of 6.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 three-pointers in 21.5 minutes per contest.
MARCH 24 • ROTOWIRE
Kasparas Jakucionis' unteachable trait makes him a can't-miss prospect for Heat If Kasparas Jakucionis continues to put in the hard work, it's hard to envision how he becomes a bust for the Miami Heat.

MARCH 17 • Associated Press
Back to bench Jakucionis is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Magic.
Impact The rookie floor general will return to the second due to the return of Tyler Herro (quadriceps) to the starting lineup. Jakucionis is averaging 7.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in 11 appearances (three starts) since the All-Star break.
MARCH 14 • ROTOWIRE
Fares well in second straight start Jakucionis logged 18 points (6-12 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 35 minutes during Thursday's 112-105 victory over the Bucks.
Impact Jakucionis drew a second consecutive start with Tyler Herro (quadriceps) sidelined, and he looked much more comfortable Thursday evening. He put together his best showing in the scoring column since Feb. 9 and snagged a season high in boards on the way to a win. While Jakucionis has logged north of 30 minutes in back-to-back outings, these kinds of opportunities are expected to dwindle once Miami's backcourt returns to health.

In his last start against the Grizzlies on Feb. 21, Jakucionis finished with 12 points, five assists, three rebounds and two three-pointers over 23 minutes.

Stuck in reserve role Jakucionis chipped in nine points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, five assists and one steal over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 124-98 victory over the Nets.
Impact As long as Tyler Herro and Davion Mitchell are healthy, Jakucionis is likely to struggle for streaming value in fantasy leagues. Over his last four outings, Jakucionis has averaged just 3.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 15.3 minutes per game.
MARCH 4 • ROTOWIRE
Retreating to bench Jakucionis won't start against the Bucks on Tuesday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Impact Davion Mitchell will return from a one-game absence due to an illness, pushing Jakucionis to the second unit. Over six February appearances off the bench, the rookie first-rounder has averaged 11.0 points, 4.2 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 22.5 minutes per contest.

Drills six treys off bench Jakucionis contributed 20 points (7-12 FG, 6-10 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist in 32 minutes during Monday's 115-111 loss to Utah.
Impact Jakucionis caught fire from beyond the arc yet again after going 6-for-6 from downtown Sunday against the Wizards. He's been an unlikely contributor from deep having averaged 0.9 made threes per game over his previous 26 matchups heading into Sunday's clash, but the Heat will undoubtedly take his strong contributions off the bench while without the services of Tyler Herro (ribs), Norman Powell (back) and Pelle Larsson (elbow).

Erupts off bench in win Jakucionis accumulated 22 points (8-10 FG, 6-6 3Pt), six assists, three rebounds, two steals and one block over 26 minutes during Sunday's 132-101 win over the Wizards.
Impact Jakucionis delivered a breakout performance Sunday, tying Bam Adebayo for the game high with 22 points in a dominant Heat win. The rookie guard was perfect from beyond the arc while setting a new career high in scoring and adding three stocks. Jakucionis hasn't been a fixture in head coach Erik Spoelstra's rotation this season, but outings like this could open the door to more opportunities for the No. 20 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
